Hi everyone, I’m new to the site and this type of communication in general. I have PPC and been diagnosed over 3 years ago, having had Breast Cancer 12 years ago. I’ve had various chemo etc and feel a bit like my options are running out.

I am on a break from treatment at the mo, waiting to start taxol in a few weeks depending on my scan results.

Love reading all the posts and the info you guys provide is amazing.

Have a fab day xx

Hi Diane, welcome to this 'Club'. We all wish we didn't need to be in it but we do gain a lot of help, advice and support and quite often, a giggle. How sad that you've had /have breast cancer and now this!! I hope your scan result will be better than you could hope for and there will be no need for Taxol. Enjoy your Chemo break and keep in touch with us all.

Sending love and a big hug, Solange 😊

Welcome to the forum DianesK,

Sounds like you have already benefited from this on-line forum. It is strange in some ways to communicate ‘remotely’ ...some of us have met up in person, which is great!

Really hope your scan results show no disease & you can have a long break from any treatment! Linda 🔆🌷🔆🌷

Welcome, Diane. Hope the scan results are good. All the best, Maus.

Welcome!

I think quite a number of us didn't do this sort of communication until we stumbled on this supportive and knowledgeable community!

There are a number of us who have had breast as well as OC/PPC. 10 years ago in December for me for the BC, 8 years ago also in December for the OC.

It can all feel a bit relentless, can't it?

Thanks Mac27-UK for your reply.

Yes it does feel relentless most of the time but were there is life there is hope, so onwards and upwards.

X 😀

Hi DianesK and welcome, I was diagnosed 3 years ago and currently on a break too but think I will need more chemo soon. I had cervical cancer 20 years ago so it’s second time for me too and quite a few others on here by the sound of it. I wonder if there is any connection?? Anyway here’s hoping your results are better than anticipated and you can have a bit longer before more chemo! Take care xx

Thanks for your reply Katsmum.

I do strongly believe that mine is a link. I am also BRCA1.

Good luck to you too x

Hello and welcome. I, too, was diagnosed 3 years ago with stage 3c OC, only four days after finishing treatment for BC! This is a lovely , informative and supportive community, not to mention the wonderful humour which can brighten the blackest day. Good luck with your scan results and I hope they are much better than you think. I, too, had an MRI on Monday, so have just started the long wait for results. Take care. Carolyn x 🌸🌷🌸🌷

Welcome to the forum. We are all very friendly and there is a wealth of info to be found here. I read the posts every day and participate when I'm feeling well enough. Hoping that your scan results are good. There will be many more options out there - a huge number of clinical trials if you ever have to stop chemo. Please let us know how your scan goes.
