Kissed baby with a cold sore
Hi all, I have a cold sore in the corner of my lip, and accidentally kissed my 2-week old baby on the cheek last night when I got up to feed him, I was very sleepy and didn't control my actions well. I had a special plaster on the sore, and don't think the affected area actually touched my baby, but

Wondering…
Just wondering if these mouth sores ( have three, and now I have a cold sore on the outside top lip where the sore are inside my lip that is not painful or the usual tingling feeling you get with a cold sore), a sign that my immune system is acting up? Wouldn’t Plaquenil stop this from happening? Been

How concerned should I be about spreading oral herpes?
I’ve had oral herpes since I was about 13 and only recently found out that even when there is no outbreak or symptoms, there is still a risk you can pass on herpes. This has led me to become almost phobic of touching my own lips in case I spread it to myself genitally and I’m particularly scared of

Splitting nails & lupus
Morning all, this maybe a silly question but does anybody else suffer from splitting nails? Also, my thumb nails are separating, as in, the back of the nail appears to

Sores in nose - chemotherapy
Apart from a runny nose with chemotherapy (Carboplatin/Pemetrexed) I'm also getting sores that are very similar to cold sores - tried betnovate cream, but not much good, then tried Zovirax which is better, but doesn't clear them and still forms scabs that bleed. It can be very sore and painful. Any

Binge drinking!
I’m scared it’s going to turn into a permanent daily occurrence.I used to play lots of
sports
but due to some
injuries
and surgeries I was left with severe chronic pain. I’ve tried all antidepressants, opioids and painkillers etc and alcohol is the only one which helps the best.

Should I get an upright MRI after normal MRI showed nothing?
I’ve read that an upright MRI can help detect
sports
injuries
, and my pain started after physical activity (giving CPR). I’ve also wondered if this could be a muscle tear or something. Does anyone know about upright MRIs or have any ideas of what I could do next?

Mind Over Body
In the past I have had
sports
injuries
, the usual illnesses, and once got betten by a scorpion, but they all got better and life went on. With heart failure it doesn't work that way, the axiety, fear, depression and even anger all come into the algorith.

Cold Sores
I was diagnosed in 2010 with CLL and on W&W. I am now troubled with persistant cold sores on my nose or mouth. Tried the usual creams but still come back. Does any one have the same problem?
