So FRUSTRATED!!!

Couldn’t do parkrun ☹️ got half way around 1st lap and could feel calf muscle starting to hurt. It’s the OTHER leg to the one that’s kept me away for a month. So fed up. How do I find out what’s causing these injuries? Sports physio? I’m already seeing a chiropractor

NOT FAIR .... STAMPS FEET 🤬

Not an expert, but have you try to increase the water/salt/ potasium/ to keep the balance with your sweat?

Try not to be too upset... There Will be plenty if runs

😫 so frustrating I am sure. Often when we are nursing an injury on one side of the body we overcompensate on the other side. Are you doing dynamic warm ups before & stretches afterwards? A roller helped my calf pain, plus soaks in magnesium (Epsom salts in the bath). Gentle massage with Paingone & rest! If you have tried all this then time to see a physio!

Doing 5 minute walk to warm up and stretches before and after. Thanks for advice. X

Annie asked are you doing dynamic stretches pre run. It is not recommended to do static stretching pre run.

Try not to be too mad , you didn't just stop something caused you to. Have you thought about trying compression calves sleeves or whatever they're called. Good luck 😊

In a reply to someone else, I recently mentioned a lifelong runner I know who had to stop running for nearly a year because of severe calf pain. Physios could not cure it, but compression socks did the trick. He wears them whenever exercising and for 24 hours afterwards.

Might be with a try. Let us know if it works.

That’s so annoying. Off to the physio I think!

I’m finding the Yoga with Adrienne pre and post run videos on You tube really helpful. They are short and simple.
