Fainting and shakes
Hi, I am new to posting but have been reading for some time. I was diagnosed with afib in 2021 and also had a stroke caused by a brain bleed. I am now in PAF which kicks in every 2 weeks or so, lasting a few hours. When this happens I usually have a "funny turn" , feel a bit faint for a few seconds

Which medicine is messing with my thyroid med uptake
Might anyone be able to suggest which of my other meds has affected my thyroid med uptake (100mcg thyroxine and 2x5mcg t3)? I was prescribed digoxin, furosemide and bisoprolol after having open heart surgery 3 mths ago to resolve some anatomical defects. Uptil that point thyroid levels were stable

Tamsulosin
I’ve been on Tamsulosin since diagnosis. Now have unconnected (I think) issues with fluid build up in my lungs and consequential breathing issues. Now on frusemide but wondering if stopping Tamsulosin is possible. I don’t want to be taking anything more than I need.

Hi. Anyone got any wisdom about this? Just had an email from my cardiologist saying mine is raised (1460) no idea what this refers to in terms of how it's measured. Anything over 100 seems bad. How bad is 1460?I have tried to find info online but lots of rabbit holes there. Cardiologist says if symptomatic

SPIRONOLACTONE 25 MG TABLET
Can anyone please tell me if spironolactone interferes with RLS? If so, are there any other b/p meds that can be a good substitute? I'm already taking HCTZ and lisinopril.

CLL + nephrotic syndrome: furosemide problem
Hello, I'm here to share something with the community that may be important for those who have had nephrotic syndrome related to an infiltration of CLL in the kidneys. Normally, when there is a lot of swelling, it's common to be prescribed furosemide. In my case, I'm being treated with obinutuzumab,

I am sorry if I am repeating myself but all though I am 80 years old, up until this winter I was fully independent, I drive a car, and I could work a small allotment. Spironolactone.
I have been taking Spironolactone for one week, 25mg daily, which isn’t a very high dosage. Already I seem to be experiencing some side effects, tickly throat, severe bloating etc. Has anyone else noticed any side effects. Thank you. PhylK.

Heart Failure diagnosis.
I am an 80 year old female with a history of Atrial Fibrillation. I have had 3 Ablations and am now on rate control drugs which keep me quite comfortable. Recently my breathing became a problem and I am getting generalised weakness . I really do expect this at my grand age but I do like to drive and
