Furosemide
Hi all! Hubbys furosemide has just been increased to 40 g twice a day due to breathlessness, coughing and spitting. He has developed diarrhoea ever since. I thought constipation was the usual side effect not diarrhoea! Has anyone else had this? Thanks for listening x

I haven't posted for a long time but feel desperate.
I was diagnosed with GCA (Temporal Arteritis) in February 2017 and have been on a see-saw of medications ever since. I have a wonderfully supportive GP and see a rheumatology consultant regularly, every few months. I was started initially on 60 mgs prednisolone by the hospital and then the doses have

Carbimazole, loop diuretic and extreme insomnia
My mum is 89 and has copd, heart failure and hyperthyroidism. In the last five months she has been to hospital four times. She's hardly slept in that time. Only on a few nights has she had more than two hours sleep. She recently had her carbimazole raised from 10 to 15 mg per day as her hormones were

Eplerenone
I'm thinking of asking my GP to prescribe me eplerenone for my hypertension. I have read the one or two reports about Spironolactone v Eplerenone. Eplerenone seems to have better outcomes, less sie effects though expensive.

6 weeks post ablation
Hi All Just after a bit of advice. I am now 6 weeks post ablation- first four weeks I was doing really well. Last 2 weeks heart rate has jumped to between 115 and 120 bpm and that is for most of the day. It occasionally goes down to 80ish bpm. Also have a cold which isn't helping. My arrhythmia nurse

My doctor ask me to monitor my blood pressure with a new Med he prescribed since my pressure was very high every day. I’m already on two other meds and this took the place of Amiloride. I’ve been taking it, but my feet have been swollen every since. So he prescribed furosemide one and a half tablet every

Flavourless substitute for clopidogrel
It's got a medical smell and taste which can make difficult to take. Asking for a friend. The friend is my cat chloe who has heart failure. wr can get furosemide fown her, not easy. But not the old cloppy dog roll. We've tried disguising it with every form of food, but she's sussed what we are up to
