busy week: MRI, spinal tab, scheduling Ocrevus and more
. - I had a full MRI on Thursday (brain +spine) along with many other tests (blood samples, eye nerve check, neuro test, cognitive test,
spinal
tap
and more) as part of the research study I signed for (EPIC, reports come out on it on a regular basis - you might have seen some of them).

Viral meningitis causing vision problems
I had a
spinal
tap
done revealing my csf pressure had gone up to 27mmHg when the normal range is between 10-20. Even before I had the viral menigitis diagnosis I was experiencing strange symptoms.

3 Months post viral meningitis
Once I got there they advised to do a
spinal
tap
. After 5 unsuccessful pokes they finally were able to collect
spinal
fluid that had shot across the floor and all over the doctor. He yelled for help telling everyone to get on masks including me.

Pain 10 years after a spinal fusion L5/S1
Hi All, Has anyone suffered an overwhelming increase in back pain following a spinal fusion? I had mine 10 years ago now and although not 100%....had been doing alright in my retirement. I had been a nurse for 40 years and although I tried couldn’t return to work comfortably, so decided to take early

Ecmo and icu
Hello, my partner was admitted to A&E a week ago and put on a ventilator with severe pneumonia. Nothing helped until medical staff flew down from London to put him on ecmo and transferred him to London. He hasn't woken up after they stopped sedative 4 days ago, but he has eye movement, breathes alongside

Negative O bands, elevated CSF protein
Doctor did a
spinal
tap
looking for O bands. I was negative for O bands but had slightly elevated CSF protein. Did any of you have elevated CSF protein without O bands?

Pain clinic fail.....😖 (long rant sorry)
I had an appointment with the pain clinic consultant last week after being seen by his registrar to get my pain medication sorted out. I’ve had chronic pain since a spontaneous Sacral fracture five years ago. I take Naproxen, Nortriptyline, Co-Codamol and Butrans patches. These had all been prescribed

Bowel endo
Hi, I had a resection in 2016 due to endo that had infiltrated my bowel wall. I had had previous surgery to remove endo. I have been fine since then until the last 6 months. My periods have gone incredibly heavy and pelvic pain is starting to creep in. The issue is I have had bowel problems for 6 months
