Latest endo appointment. Will not increase T3 as TSH now low!!!!!
About 6 weeks ago, because of a change in make of liothyronine I made a mistake and instead of taking 2 x 10mcg tablets, I took 2 x 20mcg.When I realised, I anticipated the worst. However, I was fine, in fact more than fine. My prescribed dose was 30mcg daily. But, I started to take 20mcg twice daily

I am excited to be here...
After emergency brain surgery November 2023, I was diagnosed with Stage IV, EGFR lung cancer. I started Tagrisso immediately (targeted treatment), followed by radiation for the brain tumors, and then followed chemotherapy. I am a 57 year-old, non-smoker and extremely healthy. This surgery and diagnosis

My husband died in summer 2022 in hospital. At the time I was having very successful B12 loading injections for anaemia but after his death I was overwhelmed with work. I had asked the surgery not to use my mobile phone number (which they insisted on having) and use my landline instead but the GP

Bowel preparation before surgery
Hi everyone! 💛 Just been on pre op assessment and nurse said I don’t need to do bowel preparation at home. I will have hysterectomy with bowel resection and Endo excision. Has anyone had bowel preparation at hospital just before the operation? I am quite concerned what is going on 🤷♀️

Hi everyone, A question for the laparoscopy ladies; How long did it take you to heal? It's been 3 months since my surgery, and I fear my pain is worse than before. Hi all, I’m a 64 year old woman whose periods stopped when I was 50, I chose HRT after a few years of non stop daytime sweats, zero concentration and bursting into tears at the drop of a hat 🙈 I stopped the HRT back in 2020 but had to start it again last year as the sweats returned with a vengeance

Hello, I am female, 30yrs old, looking for any advice people may have. I had a very large borderline tumour/cyst near/surrounding one of my ovaries which was removed in July 2022. went off Xgeva for a year, have to go back on it. Ideas or tips helpful
Hi, the short version is I’ve been dealing w stage 4 MBC since 2019/ 2020 with mets to the bones since 2020, including a thoracic spinal fracture which led to a spinal fusion. I was put on Xgeva for a couple of years and later read on Xgeva’s website that being on it long term is likely to increase

Running after Retinal tear surgery
Hi everyone, I've had two retinal tears to my right eye in the space of 10 weeks and have had subsequent laser surgery for both tears. With the first tear, I waited at least 5 weeks, before I went back to running and had experienced my second tear at work and not whilst running. Has anyone had a retinal

Slight ache near heart
I had abdominal surgery in November. They used inappropriate dressings despite being warned and I had very inflamed skin on the stomach area. This all triggered paraxsysmal af. I then had terrible burning/itcing all over the torso for which I was prescribed strong pills. I have had a bad yeast problem
