I requested hard copies of a number of recent blood tests from the GP surgery and have received the following message this morning.
Please find the enclosed results as requested. This can be accessed via the link sent to your email. To reduce our impact on the environment, we no longer provide paper copies. We will provide disclosure via a secure encrypted link which will be sent to you by text and/or email. From the link you will be able to view, download and/or print a copy of the data. If you require a physical copy and do not have access to a printer; printing facilities are usually available at your nearest Library.
Is this right? Can I insist on printed copies?
TIA

Thank for the info. I wasn’t sure if it was just our surgery being awkward. It has given me the ammunition I need though for my GP appointment tomorrow… treatment notes against two tests not acted upon!
Thank you SD. Yes. The last TSH was GP. T4 and T3 were requested by the GP but not tested. I’ve tried to do another Medicheck finger prick test but couldn’t draw anything more than a spot of blood 3 times (in October it flowed well). Again, this is something I’m going to mention as it seemed to coincide with stopping B12 prior to the test🤔. I will need to organise a venous draw. The support of this forum and PAS are proving invaluable, thank you for your help.
