Full blood results raised TSH several highlighted results high b12. Have a look and see what you think?
Hello Full blood results for all you clever people. TSH is raised and antibodies are low. I suspect I've been a bit thyroid odd for a long time but just got on with it and not found it too bad. My mum is also borderline underactive but again, copes with it. I started in March with sudden hair loss,

Vitamin A debate 😊
Hi everyone Looking in my local pharmacy, I didn't see vitamin A. I'm wondering how many of you are taking it. Also how much are you taking? Do you have to order it? I Know your not supposed to take over 10,000 safety. I was thinking cod liver oil. Anyone use that? Do you feel it's helping you

Where to from here ?
As someone who has previously proffered advice, on this occasion I need some from you guys. I have longstanding acute pain issues, spanning the last 11 years. Following two serious car accidents, the pain across my limbs increased significantly over time and I went from the maximum doses of Tramadol

Can you get better from COPD
I was diagnosed with COPD 8 years ago. The doctor said it was mild at that time. I immediately gave up smoking, but have been on nicotine chewing gum ever since., now find it impossible to stop. My question is can your lungs get better or do they deteriorate over years. The Dr said I have 80 percent

Myofascial pain syndrome? & persistent knot in calf
I just posted this also on the Patient.co.uk/forum, but thought I would post it here too, so here goes: One of my first PMR symptoms was what I thought was a horrible cramp in my left calf, but it never went away, and was extremely painful when walking. I had recently undergone a spinal fusion, & had

Noisy painful joints
Hi all. So happy to find this forum it's wonderful! I'm at the start of my thyroid journey, think it's going to be a long road ahead.... I've started taking a few supplements to help with certain symptoms, iron for anemia and b12 but the thing I'm not sure is for my joints. They are awfully noisy

At long last
Pete has his operation date for his spinal cord stimulator to be fitted at long last. After waiting for almost 2 years he is to go into Southampton Hospital on Wednesday 20th May. I now just have to keep him well and hope all will be fine. Thanks to all who have followed this saga. Stay well all. xxx

Feeling downhearted.
I had a two level spinal fusion in December, 18 months after I had a disc replaced in my lower back, apart from the usual post-op pain and discomfort I felt I was doing very well. Then 10 weeks post-op I suffered a severe episode of lower back pain so bad I couldn't straighten out or get up from where

Spinal cord stimulation
Hi, I need advice on who to contact in the nhs to be put forward for spinal cord stimulation. I am not a confident person and am worried I would be turned down and not have the knowledge to back myself up with knowledge and facts to show I should be considered. I don't know anyone who has had this done

vitamin B complex
I am a vegetarian and I take a vitamin B complex every day and also sevenseas "active" omega 3 fish oil for my joints, but I guess it should benefit more than that. I avoid taking cod liver oil as a doctor once told me it was high in cholesterol, which surprised and concerned me as it is so widely

Colds, colds and colds again
For some reason the last 3 months have been punctuated by some kind of bug or another. I've had a host of colds and bugs, either typical "common cold" or stomach bugs. I seem to get one, it'll hang around for a week or so, then I'll have a clear week (2 if I'm lucky) then I get something else. Had thought
