I have experienced hot flushes, feeling warm, restless and uncomfortable. My face however doesn't go red.

I attribute it to the anxiety caused by bad breathing patterns associated with having Chronic Bronchitis. Lots of different symptoms caused by this malady.

I notice my head gets hot, like hot flashes. I have Vitamin D defiency, which can cause the sweaty head. Is that what you mean?

No, it's like my skin gets really warm all over and I feel warm to the touch...but Dr said my vit D was fine. Maybe from the meds? Who knows.

Yes, I do get hot flushes if I'm experiencing a bit of bad breathing....doesn't last long though, especially if I make an effort not to be anxious :)

I seem to get them whenever, even if my breathing is fine ??? Guess I'll never know why, just like most things that come with COPD 😳

Hi Beeporoni. I have been diagnosed with copd for the last 12 months . No hot flushes tho ....just wheezing. On exertion. ..but I am elderly so maybe that's why. Taking one inhaler twice daily which helps. Are you also going thro the menopause??? Hence the hot flushes. 😊. Maddi.

For me it coincides with more mucous - which is probably to do with ongoing low level infections. Same as when you have flu. Its like a small fever 24/7 all year. With lower functioning lungs we probably lose the cooling that air gives to our bodies.

I believe this Bernard, I also feel the body's ability to blow off CO2 is reduced causing these uncomfortable feelings.

Hi, I do have hot flushes, mainly due to the menopause but also get them with a tablet I take called Montelukast, which I take to help with breathing at night. Also smokers tend to get hot flushes , I know I did, each time I had a break from the cigs , the flushes stopped. As other people here have mentioned, also get them when wheezy with exhertion. Tina.

I do get hot flashes as well but have never been able to tie them to anything specific. I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night hot and sweating when the temperature would not account for it. It isn't a daily thing for me so have just let it pass on it's own.
