Does anyone know?
Hey everyone! So after wearing a Holter Monitor, my doctor stated they saw tachycardia. I was prescribed propranolol. Do any of you take it? Or have taken it? My doctor didn’t help much explaining my results at all. Can any one you read results. I’m very very anxious!

Renal function test
Have just been reading some posts and read that if on apixaban that you should have regular tests. So, what is this test? I don't think I've ever had one. I was diagnosed in August 2017. Since then hardly seen anyone about this and certainly don't recall anything like this. I'm feeling let down by

Longstanding Paroxysmal af: What next for me?
Hi - A question or two and a bit of a moan - sorry! I have had Paroxysmal AF for 20 years. I had a pacemaker fitted in 2005 following a reaction after amiodorone which paces me at 60. Then 5 years AF clear then episodes started again. I've had 3 ablations in past 5 years and my EP says there's nothing

New to Apixaban
I am due to start 2 x 5mg Apixaban on Monday. It feels like a big moment for me. My other drug is bisoprolol 1.25mg daily. Apart from the concerns over side effects/bleeding, I noticed that the dose changes if you are 60kg or under. I am 60.5kg and my GP never asked my weight. Should I be worrying about

Thank you to everyone.
Hi all. I want to thank all those of you who replied to my post a couple of months ago after I was diagnosed with AF. Apart from the usual AF symptoms, I was suffering from frequent & severe 'bursting' sensations in the head which no one (not even the doctors) could identify. I changed the Bisoprolol

SVT
I am 5 days from having an attack of Svt,188 beats a minute,my 5th serious one in 2 years. Adenisone does not bring it down so I had amoriadone into my arm. It seemed to affect my head,it felt like the blood was draining from my head and it has taken me 5 days to feel myself again. I was taken off

Getting the Meds Right Short of Ablation
After being only on the Beta Blocker, Metoprolol 25 mg. x 3 daily, and not being afib free, my doctor put me on Flecainide in addition to the Metoprolol. After one week on Flecainide 50 mg. x 2 day and Metoprolol 25 mg. x 2 day, I went into afib at 11:05 am on 12/28 with the kind of ragged, wild, rapid

Optimistic after 2nd ablation.
1st ablation 18/1/18–pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) partially successful. 2nd ablation 27/12/18–discovered that right PVI from 1st ablation was successful, but the left PV has reconnected. The connection was too close to the left inferior pulmonary vein, which had mild narrowing from the 1st ablation

Organized Atrial Tachycardia versus Normal Sinus Rhythm.
Had my last appointment for 2018 at the EP Cardiologist who informed me that I was in Organized Atrial Tachycardia which at the time sounded to me, like a variety of Normal Sinus rhythm however it is not- since it is not coming from the SA node. Does anyone have this type of rhythm? The EP Cardiologist

Had 3rd amniotic shot. Not a happy camper.
Hello fellow sufferers Well on December 4 I had a 3rd amniotic graph injection with botox minus the bladder installation. I’m supposed to get the bladder installation in January some time. I decided to do this because my husband and I were going on our honeymoon. I figured it has helped in the

Genicular nerve block
After having both knee replacements 2yrs ago. I'm in constant pain, it's now a neuropathic problem it seems so I'm considering the genicular nerve block in both knees. I'm hoping if it works i can finally ease up on all the painkillers i have to take. Has anyone had success with this type of treatment

Heart block
Hi I am new here. Recently I was given a 24 hour holter monitor to wear. A week later my GP called me into his surgery to tell me results were back showing pauses in rhythm due to heart block and I would probably need a pacemaker ? My concern is I still have not had an appointment with a cardiologist

Buttocks Pain
I have had over 20 spinal injections to stop intense buttocks pain. None have worked. I even had a disk fusion of l5/s1, still no relief. I am having a nerve block at S3, which “may” finally solve his three year problem. I’ll let you know.

Suspected SVT, but chest pains not during attacks?
Recent appt to The cardiologist and he said he thinks I probably have some type of SVT. They haven’t been able to catch it on any monitor yet though. I’m getting a 30 day monitor soon. However even when I’m feeling calm and my heart is beating normally I experience pretty moderate chest pain on the left

Edoxaban v apixaban
My cardio advised that should I decide to go on anticoagulants then he would normally prescribe apixaban 5mg twice a day. However on seeing my doctor she has advised that the surgery prescribe edoxaban (60mg once a day). Anybody got any advice on which one is best please?

Nerve block procedure.
Hi, just over a week ago I was given a nerve block injection into my shoulder. This involved the doctor putting a probe into my shoulder to find the nerve and then injecting a steroid and anesthetic into it. I was told to rest up for at least two days after it which I did. However, here I am ten days

Tachycardia post ablation
Hi, I was feeling great 4 days post ablation until I started feeling short of breath and anxious after eating tonight. I checked Kardia and my HR’s been 140-185 for the past hour. It’s not Afib, tho. Heartbeats look totally disorganized and Kardia interprets them as “unreadable”. I don’t think I can

Coming out of Denial!
Hi All Apologies for the long post! After reading a zillion posts on migraine sites I thought I would give my two pence worth! For the past two years I have suffered nearly everyday with a migraine. Its always behind my eyes, (eyeballs feel like they have weights on them) and the left side of my neck
