Recent appt to The cardiologist and he said he thinks I probably have some type of SVT. They haven’t been able to catch it on any monitor yet though. I’m getting a 30 day monitor soon. However even when I’m feeling calm and my heart is beating normally I experience pretty moderate chest pain on the left side exactly in my heart. Can this be caused by SVT even not during an episode? This makes me worry that it’s something more serious and I’m already terrified to death as it is. Could this be some type of angina? From what I know angina is pain caused by lack of blood flow to the heart. Can SVT cause angina? Does anyone with SVT experience chest pain and other symptoms even not during attacks?

Suspected SVT, but chest pains not during attacks?
I'm really sorry. It can be terrifying, can't it. So, cardiologist will want to run you a longer tape (as you say, 30-day); a definitive ECG (which will rule out defects in your heart structure and 'mechanics'). You'll also want to ask for an Echocardiagram and exertion test (if you had angina, your pain will worsen).
I wonder if you are suffering from stomach and esophageal issues (these problems can radiate up to the chest).
Hi, have had svt for 17 years but don’t get the pain you describe , my husband has angina after a heart attack and his pain is like bad indigestion in the centre of his chest going through to his back, hope this helps .
Hi Blackbird, just read your post as I have similar discomfort and history of arrhythmia. Have you resolved what causes your pain.Angina can easily be ruled out if it doesn’t worsen with exercise. My cardiologist puts my discomfort down to health anxiety but I’m not convinced.
