A new label for the Arrhythmia. Anyone else battling Sick Sinus Syndrome?
After my previous post, I had a few rounds of bradycardia in the 30s again and one run of SVT taking the hr to 185 at rest. The cardiologist , on seeing the ECGs now is thinking of Sick Sinus Syndrome as a probably cause. The strips show sinus brady and sinus tachy. Has anyone been given this diagnosis

Ectopic heart beats

I have been having some really strong and uncomfortable ectopic beats on daily, I mentioned this and she said try not to worry about them as they are not serious and untreatable. I had noticed that they became

Survived 19 years abuse rel. Still in midst of escape. Alienating my four girls to control. Developed constant high anxiety, now high BP!
I found you guys by googling my new BP med. Last three years on Clonodine and it was a Godsend for anxiety but doesn't seem to be helping BP anymore. Doc added Metoprolol today. Any advice how to proceed? I think he's trying to wean me off Clonodine but I need it for anxiety. I'm sitting here freaking

AFIB and Migraine
Hello, I saw a report a month or so ago linking AFIB ago people who have suffered with severe migraine. I was wondering if many of you suffered with severe migraine and went on to have AFIB? I suffered really badly all my adult life and had various treatments including triptans and an occipital nerve

Long-term anticoagulant/Apixaban use
Hi all, My three cardiologists (lucky, I know) have all agreed I should be on an anticoagulant. They (and I, I guess) have settled on 5mg twice a day Apixaban. I have a few questions that I hope veteran Apixaban/general anticoagulant takers may be able to answer: 1. Are there any dietary issues with

SVT/AF attacks and Sex
Hi everyone. I seem to be getting attacks (of SVT and latest AFIB) during sexual activity.. A few others had reported similar experience in the other thread. I have been curious as why as many don't. My AF started a few months ago with an attack during sex and followed up by ECG and fortunately ECG showed

Skipped Heartbeats
I was wondering if anyone else has been diagnosed w palpitations/PVCs/ectopic heartbeats. I had a normal EKG, but since I have about one PVC(basically an extra heartbeat, feels like a skipped beat) every minute, next week I am gonna do a 48 hour holter monitor. However, I am very anxious about these

Apixaban blood tests lack of knowledge
Just got home after efficient and speedy nurse appt for the bloods and ECG I requested ( on Apixaban and Flecainide) For once appt was with Sister not one of our very good HCAs and she did both. I mentioned I'd had to ask a GP for these checks and could it not be flagged up. She said they were looking

Does anyone know?
Hey everyone! So after wearing a Holter Monitor, my doctor stated they saw tachycardia. I was prescribed propranolol. Do any of you take it? Or have taken it? My doctor didn’t help much explaining my results at all. Can any one you read results. I’m very very anxious!

Renal function test
Have just been reading some posts and read that if on apixaban that you should have regular tests. So, what is this test? I don't think I've ever had one. I was diagnosed in August 2017. Since then hardly seen anyone about this and certainly don't recall anything like this. I'm feeling let down by

Longstanding Paroxysmal af: What next for me?
Hi - A question or two and a bit of a moan - sorry! I have had Paroxysmal AF for 20 years. I had a pacemaker fitted in 2005 following a reaction after amiodorone which paces me at 60. Then 5 years AF clear then episodes started again. I've had 3 ablations in past 5 years and my EP says there's nothing
