Medication missed or doubled?
Last night I was super busy and went to get a glass of water to take my Apixaban and Bisoprolol at 7pm as usual. I set the water down. Then at 9.30 suddenly realised I hadn’t taken my meds.... or had I? In six months of taking them I’ve never forgotten or been confused but last night I totally couldn

I am new here. Need advice as to what things mean.
Hi all, as you can see I am new here so please bear with me. I have been having problems with my heart for the last two years. Was told it was SVT for a year than told it was AF. Now just found out via a letter that I have Paroxysmal atrial arrhythmia, probably pulmonary vein tachycardia driving atrial

AF episode
Last night we went out for dinner with friends. I usually take my Atenolol (I dropped from 50mg to 25mg 3 weeks ago) around 7.00/7.30 pm but I forgot to take it with me. Around 8.00 I felt those familiar crazy palpitations and when I checked with my Instant Heartrate app on my phone, there was a crazy

Vaginal pain, anal pain, nearly 4 years on and feeling desperate!
Hi all, am new here as am at my wits end trying to find a way forward with my ongoing issues. I was diagnosed with vaginal atrophy 4 years ago ( since found out due to a lack of oestrogen) even though I was on HRT. As I was bleeding I was taken off my HRT until they could eliminate any nasties. This

SVT episodes in the night
Hi - I am now on 2.5mg of Bisoprolol twice a day for my atrial tachycardia. In the night I get two or three episodes of feeling very hot and clammy but then they don’t result in a fast heart rate but a tight chest. Are these episodes of SVT that are being dampened by the beta-blocker? I’m not sure of

Apixaban Reversal Agent, anyone ever have it used? How widely available?
I know the lack of a Reversal Agent has been a source of concern, and caused some to avoid, the newer AC meds. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Portola Pharmaceuticals' Andexxa, the first antidote indicated for patients treated with rivaroxaban (Xarelto) and apixaban (Eliquis), for

Apixaban versus Riveroxaban
I have just been prescribed Apixaban by St Barts; formerly I was to have taken Xarelto (Riveroxaban). I was told it was a bit less likely to cause a subconjunctival haemorrhage which I was worried about. Does anyone know anything about the merits and demerits of Apixaban?

Ectopic Heartbeat
I had a successful ablation two years ago but over the last few weeks I am suffering with lots of ectopic beats which causes me to feel quite dizzy at times and occasionally leaves me with a bit of chest pain as if I’ve been kicked. It is really bothering me and wondered if anyone has had the same problem

Afib: No Symptoms and High QOL
I was diagnosed 5 years ago with Afib. Being symptom free, I never noticed till a nurse at my GP picked up and I was refered to a cardiologist. I was already on a beta blocker, atenolol, over 10 years, for HBP. Added Apixaban. Both tolerated well. Heart has checked out defect free and working well

So I finally went to see Dr Baranowski
Well... after 6 years of on and off pain and remission and relapse I finally went to Dr Baranowski. He is mighty expensive and I didn't expect him to diagnose me, I only wanted his letter for my useless low-IQ GP so he finally does something ! He was not able to tell me why I have pain, only told me
