Try totally giving up alchohol and caffeine.

I had the same problem and it worked for me.

I know it sounds a bit extreme but it's wonderful to be free of those problems and no medication required.

Hi Phil

I was on Propranolol for high blood pressure and missed heartbeats, my blood pressure was still high and I was still getting the ectopic beats although not quite so bad. My doctor changed me to Atenolol 50mg once a days and the missed beats have practically stopped and my blood pressure has been normal. I will add that I do not drink tea, coffee or fizzy drinks mostly just hot or cold water. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the suggestions I don't drink tea or coffee and I've not drunk alcohol for about ten years now

Tilly can I ask do you get any side effects from the antenolo I tried them for a few weeks but I felt crap on them to be honest I probably didn't give them a chance

Hi Phil

The main side effect I get is occasional dizziness when standing or moving my head suddenly. This is probably due to the lowering of my blood pressure.

But I would rather put up with this than the missed heartbeats.

Hi, do sympathise, I’m

Lying awake with troublesome ectopics tonight knowing I have to get up for work in 5 hours! I am in a moderate dose of propranolol 160mg a day as my missed beats were happening every other beat called bigeminy. Most of the time this dose controls them but there are occasions like tonight they happen quite frequently and are hard to bear 😞. I think I over did it today then I had a Diet Coke with a meal out so I’m guessing it’s a mixture of triggers. I think you could take more propranolol but speak to your GP.
