Can I take an extra Bisoprolol
Hi all, I’m having loads of ectopic beats since yesterday and it’s really worrying me, a month ago I reduced my Bisoprolol to 1.25, I’m wondering if it would be okay to take another 1.25 today to try to calm these ectopics. Pulse rate is staying stable and not flying too high. My OH is away so I feel

Post Ablation Monitor Report is in..
Well, I,had an ablation on May 10th for Atrial Tachycardia and it was a 'success' in that they ablated the SVT. The downside is that 1) they weren't able to ablate the left sided ectopics, and 2) I have lingering inappropriate sinus tachycardia. So now I am stuck trying different meds again to lower

Increased episodes of AF
I have had paroxysmal AF for about 5 years. For several years I only had an episode every 6 months or so and was prescribed 1.25 of Bisoprolol just once a day and 5mg of Apixaban twice a day. 18 months ago the AF episodes got a little more frequent, my GP upped my Bisoprolol to 1.25 twice a day, no

electric tug down leg
Hi, I have just had another back surgery, fusing L5 to S1 and pelvis for nerve pain that is going down the back of my leg , front of knee and top of foot. It feels like someone has an electric cattle prod and running it up and down the back of my leg, it is horrendous. The op did nothing to relieve it

Rythmol, Post Ablation Monitor, Bigeminy
I had a second ablation on May 10th. They got the major source of SVT byt were unable to get the left atrium source if PACs. My pre-ablation monitor showed a 12% burden of SVT and a 19% burden of PACs. My post ablation monitor showed no SVT and a 25% burden of PACs and quite a bit of inappropriate

New to group
Good morning, I just found this group online while looking for a support group for my husband’s demyelinating syndrome. I have been through the wringer with chronic back pain due to degenerative disc disease since 1989. I try not to let my pain define me, though. My new pain specialist recommended

cortisone shot
I had to have 5 cortisone injections into my ankle and metasal due to arthritis. I’ve noticed that since I had them my heart rate really drops. I’m 70 yrs old but noticed my resting heart rate drops to 44 - 56. It does rise during day. I had this before in February when I had a nerve block done. is

Hair & Nail supplements
I have rubbish nails which aren’t very strong and my hair is on the thin side. I’ve been looking at supplements and found one which has excellent results but contains herbal ingredients such as horsetail. I asked the surgery pharmacist if I can take it and she advised not to - she said herbal ingredients

Why it’s a good idea to use your Kardia etc regularly
It’s a saga but will make it as short as possible! I have paroxysmal AF, big nuisance but I don’t usually have fast episodes any more, take Apixaban anticoagulant so I put up with it. On Friday afternoon while quietly looking at a book an episode started. As usual pretty nasty for first two hours but

Some do and some don't
I was diagnosed with AF and slightly enlarged heart chambers, earlier this year, which has turned out to be permanent AF 24hrs every day. On reading posts it seems different procedures are given for AF with varying success. I have been prescribed Apixaban in addition to bisoprolol. My pulse seems

Tachycardia after ablation
What is your level of endurance/exercise that you comfortably tolerate after ablation? I was working in the garden today, NOT exerting myself much at all and my heart rate was in the 130-140 range for very little effort. I chose to rest, but could have kept working. Is it better not to stress the heart

Atrial Bigeminy
I have searched through the posts about bigeminy and many of them are quite old. I recently had a successful ablation for atrial tachycardia, but now have most incessant atrial bigeminy. There seems to be some varied research out now about atrial bigeminy causing cardiomyopathy. Beta Blockers don't seem

Treatment has hit a wall. I can not sit without pain.
I have not been able to sit without horrid pain since August. I did too much — and I have not recovered. On top of that, the nerve blocks I have been getting to try to help this pain for years, like pudendal nerve block, trigger point injections into my pelvic floor, si joint injections, and caudal injections

Nerve damage
Since my carpal tunnel, cubitunnel and median nerve surgery 2 years ago, I have experienced horrible, constant seeking nerve pain in my left arm. My hand is deformed and I have no use of my arm and hand. After 2 hand surgeons, 2 PT's and a neurologist, all of whom said there was nothing they could do
