I'm currently 9 weeks pregnant with icsi twins (eeek!) and had a first scan to confirm this at the ivf clinic at week 7. I've got my first midwife appointment next week (week 10) and I've received a letter for an obstetrician appointment on week 14 - this feels far away to me - does it to you?!

Hey Kathy, it does especially with twins. Also there are some tests that you should do when you are 12 week pregnant. Pregnancies with twins are normally considers high risks (which sounds scary but only means that you get extra monitoring). I would chase them up.
Hi Kathy mine isn't booked until 25th April which would make it around week 17. I find this odd as I will be having my babies in a different hospital and was told care in the hospital where the obstetrician is based is only until week 16. Doesn't bother me - I trust they know what they're doing 😊
Ps. We declined the week 12 screening tests - we weren't offered any other screening apart from the usual (downs, pataus etc). We decided we will have all tests done at week 20 as apparently they are more accurate.
Thanks! I called and I do have a scan appointment on week 12 - they just forgot to send me a letter! X
Congratulations!!
Doesn’t sound too far away to me but easy for me to say. This way at least your consultant sees you after your scan - there’s not much else they can do before 12 weeks if you have already decided what screening tests you want.
You might find this website useful- they have resources that you can download too. Wishing you all the best.
