Days to book off work
Hi ladies, I am due to start my first ICSI cycle in February, and was wondering from your experiences when did you find it most helpful to have time off work? Did you need a couple of days to recover from egg collection? And was it helpful to have some time off after transfer, or go straight back to

Failed IVF and Sperm DNA Fragmentation/ Sperm Washing/ ICSI
So I’ve not been on here for a few weeks as my first round of IVF failed, well it was a chemical pregnancy. I couldn’t stop crying for about a week and I’ve been so sad ever since, I’m guessing it’s common to feel like this after a failed round, so much goes into the IVF and we just want it to work so

Round 2 is go! Everything is changing and I'm worried (as per usual 😂)
Hello lovely people! So I'm starting again in February! My consultant is putting me on the pill to control my cycle and I'm starting that in the next few days. So it's all happening so quickly! On my first round in sept/Oct with nhs, I did ivf and long protocol. 13 eggs collected, 12 matured, 2 fertilitised

So it’s been a while since I was last on here but we are finally going to try for another baby brother or sister for our first miracle baby by ICSI but we have said this will be the last go. I know there are no definite answers but I am just looking for opinions. My ICSI history: 1st fresh cycle

Egg collection done 💫
Thank you so much all of you who commented on my last post ❤ you have no idea how much those comments helped me today. It made such a difference to me 💫 They collected 6 eggs which we are ok with. They were happy with my husbands sperm so wanted to do all IVF rather than ICSI. They are going to fertilise

FET - Additional blastocyst checks and progesterone - What options might be available?
Hey all Wondered if anyone might have any advice? I was delighted to have 6 good graded blastocysts collected after our first round of ICSI earlier this year. I’ve now had 2 back to back failed FETs. I’m meeting with my clinic in a week or so to discuss next steps and wondered whether anyone had

Just have to vent
Hi guys, I'm going through my 1st ivf cycle. We're nhs so it's taken almost 2 years to get here (plus had one miscarriage and one chemical earlier in the year). I'm 38 and my DH's 45, with male factor so we're having icsi. We were meant to start during my Sept cycle but got a kidney infection so started

Hi lovely ladies. I’m preparing for a natural FET in Jan if all immunity test results come back ok. I’m going to have assisted hatching and embryo glue on my day 6 blastocyst. Only 3 fertilised. What are the chances of a blastocyst?
Hi all, had my second egg retrieval yesterday. History is I'm 40 in March 2022. NHS funded rounds. 5 chemicals. 2 mmc. No other issues other than age. First retrieval was on long protocol in June with ivf. 6 eggs retrieved. 2 immature, 2 abnormally fertilised and only 1 made it to day 3 transfer. This

Will icsi even help?
So I had my review appointment from my first failed ivf cycle where they retrieved 13 eggs but only 2 fertilitised (transferred day 3, negative test) . In a nutshell, the explanation is that our egg and sperm just dont seem to like each other, theres no other medical reason. He explained the egg chooses

Am I too early for a positive result?
So, I had a “poor quality” double three day transfer 7 days ago today . From the moment I heard the news about the embryos “struggling” I have had no hope 💔. This is our second ICSI cycle . From a day or two after the transfer I have had lower abdominal and back cramps along with some piercing pains

3rd BFN, thoughts on immune testing and treatments?
Hello everyone, I've found it really helpful to read you. Sadly I have just had a 3rd BFN, after a fresh transfer and 2 FETs. This is getting quite hard, and I'm unsure what to do next. I wondered if anyone has pursued immune testing. Which tests and treatment did you receive and were they helpful?

Endometriosis and implantation
I wondered if anyone had any knowledge with this. So I have been confirmed to have endometriosis after 5.5 years ttc. I have had one failed round of ivf using icsi. I got 7 day 5 blasts which none made it to a viable pregnancy. One implanted but ended in very early miscarriage. My consultant had said
