So it’s been a while since I was last on here but we are finally going to try for another baby brother or sister for our first miracle baby by ICSI but we have said this will be the last go. I know there are no definite answers but I am just looking for opinions.
My ICSI history:
1st fresh cycle - 6 eggs collected/fertilised. 4 Blastocysts all average quality. 2 embryo transfers. None frozen. Negative.
2nd fresh cycle - 6 eggs collected/4 fertilised. 3 Blastocysts slightly better quality. 1 embryo transfers. 2 frozen. Negative.
1st frozen cycle. Both of our frozen embryos transferred. Best quality embryo I’ve had. Positive pregnancy test but miscarried at 13 weeks + 5 days.
3rd fresh cycle - 4 eggs collected. 2 Blastocysts. One good cell but lots of fragmentation and second was nice embryo but slow developing. Took DHEA this time. Said grade was 4 and 5, 5 being the worst. But they said it was difficult to grade them.
My understanding with DHEA is it is meant to help the embryo quality however, the only time I took it we had our worst graded embryos throughout the whole journey. But I did have my healthy baby girl from those embryos. Though I also got pregnant the time before too.
Just looking for opinions on what others would do. Would they take DHEA again or not?
The other difference between the two pregnancies were first one was long protocol and second successful was the flare. Initially consultant was going to recommend going back to long but then said flare.
I am going to ask my consultants opinion to as it’s a different clinic from before.
Thanks in advance.
