I'm confused about tapering off Medrol. I'm at 4 mg now and wake up with a lot of pain from PMR I've had for 1 1/2 years. One rheumi said I should not be in pain before reducing. Another one told me we need to find something else to mitigate the pain because being on steroids too long will cause problems

Just letting all the good folk here find out how I survived the wedding ! They all encouraged me through a bad spell a few weeks ago. I was totally dreading the first of three family weddings on Easter Sunday(three sons marrying in three months!) as I was having a miserable time with return of horrid

Medrol vs HC?
Does anyone know the possible benefits of Medrol as compared to HC in someone with adrenal fatigue? When would Medrol be preferred to HC? Has anyone tried both?

Armour or Erfa?
Sorry, I realise this has been discussed before! I was put on Erfa Thyroid along with Medrol for adrenal fatigue a year ago, by a doctor trained by Thierry Hertoghe, after ten years on thyroxine only. Since then, I have had my ups and downs. I seem to do better on the smaller pills of Erfa (30 and

Depo Medrone for Fibromyalgia?
Hi there, I have Fibromyalgia and as soon as the weather turns to winter I have flare after flare with IBS symptoms and it's just such a rough time over winter. I have the pain and symptoms all year but I find it very hard to manage in winter and it gets me very low. I don't have any ongoing support

Hi everyone, Am feeling so miserable and sorry for myself which is pathetic when I read how so many of you out there suffer too. Most of the problem is that I have been ill with some sort of mystery autoimmune thing for about forty years or even more. After numerous visits to

Post hysterectomy advice needed
Hi guys, I started HRT a month ago (Elleste solo) and so far, so good, although the nagging abdominal pain continued. Brief history: several laparoscopies in between 2000 and 2004 looking for endometriosis, none found, zoladex attempted, two failed ablations, followed by a total abdominal hysterectomy

How long does IM depo medrone last?
Hi, Does anyone else get IM steroid injections. I had my last about a month ago and it made such a difference but today I feel exhausted again, with the knees and feet starting to get tender. I realize it could be the temperature and the fact we had a weekend visiting friends but I had been feeling so

Hi all i have been taking azathioprine for nearly 2 yrs. I had a flare up which started a month ago and had a depo medrone steroid 2 weeks ago which didn't touch me. I went to rheum clinic today and the consultant decided to put me on methotrexate which i am a bit worried about. Mostly its the side effects

Inactive lymph nodes? Mine don't seem to be working could that be PMR related?
Last week I had a very nasty suspected infected insect bite on my face which became very swollen and alarmed my GP so much he sent me to a specialist ENT to get it drained. The ENT sent me for an ultrasound which ruled out a dental or bone abscess but showed that the lymph glands in my neck had not reacted

Massive fluid retention after injection of cortisone
Hi All. Has anyone else had lots of fluid retention, particularly in thighs and belly, after injection of Depo-Medrone (cortisone)? I had 120 mgs after crawling off to GP when my batteries had run down and blew up some days later. I'm on 7.5mgs daily but am waiting for hip replacement so am off everything

Does anyone else get allergic reactions from vitamin supplements?
I've had PMR for four years and am down to 4mg of Medrol with the odd flare now and then. I am getting rather fed up because I would like to take a multivitamin supplement but every one I've tried so far has given me an allergic reaction, a sensation of pins and needles and a hot tingling sensation.
