Moving on to hospice care
many of you have heard from me before at this point. My dad (68, diagnosed almost 2 years ago) had his last appointment with his MO two weeks ago or so. Has anyone been using TUDCA or Restore Gold? Have you seen slowing or halting of progression of symptoms?
It looks like TUDCA is one of two ingredients in a drug now being sold to treat ALS, under the brand name Relyvrio in the U.S. (but at an extortionate list price of $158,000 a year) and ALBRIOZA in Canada. Co-formulated sodium phenylbutyrate/taurursodiol (PB/TURSO). Approved by the FDA in Dec. 2022 and

my doctor has advised I take this daily but I’m worried they will lose their effect over time and stop working. Does anyone else take Imodium daily and if so has this happened?

ALP AND RADIUM 223
My husband has had 2 sessions of radium 223 and the oncologist is pleased that his ALP has reduced to ‘normal’ levels after the first session and stayed the same after the second. However his PSA has continued to rise and has doubled over the last 3 months since he stopped abiraterone. The oncologist

GCA and hair loss
Have been on pred now since end of July 2023 - originally 60mg now tapered to 20mg. (stay on 20mg for 2 weeks). Feel fine on that dose. Will taper to 18 mg in a week Mon. and stay on it for 2 weeks, etc. then down by l0% every 2 weeks if all holds. I am losing my hair. Will taking folic acid help?

Light headed.
Twice this week I have felt slightly dizzy and lightheaded. My sodium levels are usually low. I'm waiting to go back for another test. I wonder if this could be causing my symptoms. I feel drained too. Usually, I am fine. It makes me really worried thinking I might have a stroke or heart attack

Dry mouth
Thank you all for the sugg for coping with dry mouth and throat. Lots to choose from. I will try the sugar free chewing gum and Boots throat spray. I also have dry eyes and use a gel prescribed from the GP. I will ask to be checked for diabeties. All your help is much appreciated.

sodium update
I have just rung my Gp re. Hyponatremia Test .. Receptionist said Dr. Has seen results of sodium test and sees no reason for further tests as ‘ I have been borderline for YEARS’. I asked when first test was done . Seems it was only last year. May 22. 134. Sep22. 133. July 23. 130.
