Treatment of damages due to radiation
asked him why we do not use the know-how of doctors dealing with nuclear exposure. Many of us suffer from damages produced by radiation....like blood in stool, urine and other damages. However when I visit doctors, it seems they are ignorant of treatment for damages due to Radiation. I feel we should

Prostate Cancer & Brugada Syndrome
Almost 3 years ago, while being prepped for surgery for a small bowel obstruction, my ECG showed I was having a 'heart attack' that wasn't. Instead I was later diagnosed with Brugada Syndrome (BrS), a genetic defect of the Sodium channels in the heart that can trigger a Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). This

I have advanced msa with all the normal sign and suptoms including dystonia leading to curling of the toes amongst a whole host of other issues. Recently I have had big problems with critically low sodium on blood tests (121mg)) . Initially I was admitted to hosspital and was dropped with salt solution

Understanding your blood test
Hi all, Happy New Year etc! I have finally managed to translate my blood test results and for anyone else out there who is also bemused, I am attaching a guide to help you understand the basics. Ranges are often slightly different, or expressed differently in different countries or even clinics but really

Sodium Butyrate is healing me!
I’ve suffered with IBD for 24 years and at last I have my symptoms under control, in fact I am recovering. After such a long time it is life changing for me. My recovery started with eating LoFodmap foods which gave my digestion a much needed rest, then after considerable research I stumbled across Sodium

Should Early Use of Chemotherapy Be Avoided in the Treatment of Metastatic Prostate Cancer?
Interesting editorial in JMA [Japan Medical Association] Journal: "The therapeutic strategy for advanced prostate cancer has dramatically changed recently. Previously, docetaxel was the only drug with evidences showing improved overall survival (OS) in metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer

Prostate pain - xtandi/Xofigo & spot radiation
Hi all, just wanted to check if anyone would have any idea as to why Dad's prostate area is sore. He went to do a few minutes on his Excercise bike last week and said the pain in his prostate area was bad, he is getting up more frequently to pee at night (no pain but dribbles) and then today she said

Your thoughts, please
I'm going in for labs this week. My main concern is high Potassium & proteinuria. I've been watching my protein, somewhat and potassium a lot. Potassium has been dangerously high in the past. I also have edema, it's better but am on a diueretic, so have been watching sodium and cut back on water.

Imodium/stool color?
Does Imodium cause stool color to be different than normal? It makes mine a weird beige color. During an IBS-D flare, stools or liquid is normally brown or yellow. Never this color.

General question
Hello All, Sorry to disturb you. Have few questions; appreciate if someone has suggestions/advise. I have pain when I pee some times, few bubbles and as well back pain. Did ultrasound and found 2 very small non obstructing stones, this is beginning of Jan 2021. From them I always felt I was tired ,

Multiple Bowel Movements
My son (aged 40) has been diagnosed with IBS. He has had a sigmoid colonoscopy that was all clear. For 12 months now he has to go to the toilet about 6-10 times a day starting early in the morning till about 11am. No diarrhoea just lots of bowel movements. Doesn’t matter what he eats, tried everything

Treating autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA)
Does anyone have autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA) along with your chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). I believe it occurs for around 10% of CLL patients. Any experience or knowledge about it would help. My Haptoglobin has gone from 39 in September to 14 this past week. As I understand it, when it

Medication mixes
My 9 yr old son has been on the highest dose of Desmopressin for a year, and movicol and docusate sodium. We recently changed to both Pico sulfate, and Laxido, and he is now wetting almost every night. Does anyone know if it will be the new medication conflicting with the Desmo melts? Many thanks.

My partner's story
Hello to everyone, I've been a silent member of this group for a few weeks and I have found your posts really helpful. I have decided that now is the time to share with you the story so far with my partner and his diagnosis of alcohol related liver disease. He's 43 years old and he's been a daily drinker

Fixing the Microbiome - Fighting Pathogens?
I do a lot of things to help my brain and clean up a-synuclein in the gut (and hopefully the brain), but it seems to me that no protocol is complete unless it addresses normalizing the microbiome, and assuming that if there is some pathogen in the microbiome that started this cascade, addressing that
