Thank you all for your advice re amlodopine. I have not taken any today and so far had no nausea. I will be contacting my Dr on Monday re changing tablets. Several of you emphasised drinking more water, especially Murder Fan58 re low sodium which I suffer from. Amazing what help this site is.

Amlodopine

Hello, Bagadash. It is interesting that you have had no nausea on a day of not taking Amlodipine. However, it would be good to check your blood pressure twice a day so that you can check whether your blood pressure goes too high, and to show to your GP, as you will need to get them to consider alternative BP medicines. As you report having low sodium levels, avoid taking too much fluid, as that could drop sodium levels, and cause hyponatraemia. Best to record all that you drink to monitor intake. Whilst I was in hospital I was told that I was drinking too much. The medications had made me thirsty. Also, I was not as many food courses were available to me as non-vegans, which might have affected my sodium levels.
hi - I take amlopodine ( statin. , aspirin, nitrate , lanzaprozole) and doctors keep telling me I have high sodium and potassium levels . I do not cook with salt and barely salt my food in the plate . I was asked if eat lots of bananas ! I don’t . Does anyone else have this issue ? Should I be worried ? Thanks ☺️
