I have struggled with
social
anxiety
for as long as I can remember and it has caused made almost all aspects of my life difficult, including my professional life. I just got fired a few days ago and I know the culprit was my anxiety holding me back from confronting people about an issue I had.

I want to start off by saying I've been to many counsellors and psychologists in the past, and have been diagnosed with severe (

welcome to my lonely life
Hey, I'm new here and I'm an 18 years old girl with
social
anxiety
and depression. I apologize for any mistake I may make because English is not my first language. So basically I have a hard time getting to know new people and feel comfortable around them.

hi there
I’ve been struggling with major depression and
social
anxiety
for a couple years now. There has been a point where I tried to kill myself and then had to stay in an institution. After that, I actually got better. I had friends, family and a social life of my own.

Battling with Social Anxiety and depression
This heightens my
social
anxiety
and my depression. I feel like the only way i'll find true peace of mind is when i leave this world. For my time here, i have to figure out how to be a prisoner in my own body. I am not crazy, and i'm not losing it.

The symptoms of your anxiety disorder are perfectly normal.
At this point your nervous system begins to play up and you can experience panic attacks, agoraphobia, the feeling that death is imminent, something terrible is going to happen and all the symptoms of health and

MAIN CAUSES OF ANXIETY
FEAR OF CRITICISM People with
anxiety
, particularly those with
social
anxiety
, have a very real fear of what people think. This translates into them either being people-pleasers, or taking extreme measures to avoid contact with people to sidestep any negative interactions.

Starting it tomorrow
I have
social
anxiety
and it's not the running that scares me, it's more the fact that I think people will be watching me, it sounds silly, I know. I'm actually looking forwards to doing my Saturday morning run around my local harbour. Any tips to not feel so anxious?

Feeling Overwhelmed
I have terrible
social
anxiety
that I've really been trying to fight so my son can play with our neighbors and be in play groups and such. But two things are weighing on me heavily right now, and I'm terrified to go anywhere with him. 1) Guns.

Off serotonin enhancer
At my wife's urging I got off Cymbalta after taking it for years. Some things are better without it. It does have a very flattening effect on a lot of important things. Still, I am having wild downs, nightmares, and pretty intense, not entirely logical suicidal ideation. This ebbs and tides, but

Anxiety and social situations (work and play)
