what actually helps with social anxiety?

I am 35 and have struggled with severe social anxiety my whole life. I thought it would get better as I got older but has only worsened. It has definitely started to control my life.

So I have been having trouble with getting myself out there and making friends especially females friends, I have this condition that makes me sweat all over my body even on my hands and feet and this happens almost everytime I've tried to make an encounter with a new acquaintance, especially a lady,

Can anyone here give me some suggestions about how to deal with and face social situations with this condition?

I’ve been silently suffering from social anxiety disorder for many years and still there’s been no change. I thought I would come on here and see if anyone has any tips to overcome this social anxiety feeling it would be appreciated.

I am doing really well with the excercising. The personal trainer is going good. She is young but doesn't seem too judgey or atleast she doesn't make it transparent. Anyhow I have been feeling much better. Then I went to an event and attempted socializing. This made me feel very small and yuckey.

I've discovered a cute, very simple app which would be especially good for children. It's called EMY, and interacting with it really lifted my spirits!

I have always struggled with social anxiety, which has affected my confidence and self-esteem. It has resulted in me avoiding social situations involving large groups.

I haven't posted on this forum for 7 years because of panic attacks and social anxiety. Those posts from 7 years ago were sad to read and I have come so far and overcome so much. At that time I was petrified of talking to a shop worker or even my family.

I am living with social anxiety. I have had it for years and want to learn how to minimize the impact on my life. It causes some problems with work and causes me to avoid situations like family gatherings. Does anyone else struggle with this? How do you manage?
