In lung cancer for now…but eIF4A1 Is expressed also by prostate cancer!
it is very promising in vivo and in vitro, esp for lung metastasis ”In a study published in Clinical Cancer Research, the researchers demonstrate that the compound can reduce lung metastasis in mice by over 90 per cent, while also shrinking the primary tumour site.” https://news.ubc.ca/2024/09/drug-discovery-could-prevent-spread-of-childhood-bone-cancer

Is anyone here taking Xtandi alongside Berberine & quercetin?
Is anyone here taking Xtandi alongside Berberine & quercetin? Some evidence online is saying that they inhibit the enzyme that metabolizes Xtandi - possibly making it too strong in the system. Just wondered if anyone was taking all 3 and what effects if any they noticed. Thanks.

Worth the trip to Mayo-Rochester?
Howdy all! I was officially diagnosed with prostate cancer this past week in Germany. I have a PSMA, MRI, blood work and Biopsy (available next week) in hand upon my return. It looks pretty severe with the prostate cancer wrapping around my rectum, multiple bone lesions, a few lymph nodes, and possibly

Delivery delivery! Bone targeted nano-drug and nano-delivery (in vivo/vitro)
Because one of the worst enemies is not the prostate cancer itself, but the metastasis, especially to the bones! Nanotechnologies seem to be on their way for precision payload delivery to our bones! https://www.nature.com/articles/s41413-024-00356-2

change in meds?
I’m about to be changed over from Degarelix (Firmagon) to Prostap (Lupron) in a couple of weeks because 3 monthly injection is more convenient. I’ve read that Degarelix is better though.., maybe I should ask to stay on that? Or I’m wondering about asking to switch to Orgovyx instead. I’ve had a quite

Provenge for Hormone Sensitive Men

For 3 years I was on Eligard/Xtandi and was receiving Prolia to help keep bone health. All good, undetectable. Then an 18 month vacation, which I am coming off of. All treatment to be the same as before, except th MO wants to change from Prolia to Zometa. Anyone use both of those, Prolia and Zometa

Best Place to Get Solid or Liquid Tumor Genetic Testing for Prostate Cancer
I saw the post with this heading but it’s 7 years old. I’d ideally like testing done on my husbands prostate after it’s removed. his 23& me test years ago says he does not have either of the BRCA genes, but there are many more I’m sorry if this has been already handled.

Decioher .93 - results said Abiraterone was effective. Can people who use this enlighten me?
Husbands urology practice does surgery, radiation, ADT but does not list Abiraterone. Their website says they will refer us out if needing chemo. Thoughts?
