Estela's Story - Why Low-Dose Lung Cancer Screening Should Be Routine
In 2022, much to my shock, I was diagnosed with
small
cell
lung
cancer
(SCLC). At the time, I had no idea what
small
cell
lung
cancer
meant. Naively, I assumed that “
small
” meant insignificant. It was not insignificant.

New Primary cancer
The last biopsy I had said it was all breast
cancer
. This biopsy says it's
small
cell
lung
cancer
(yes I am a smoker). I have been crying a lot and I know this cancer is aggressive and fast growing. But get this this one tumor I have had since the beginning of being diagnosed with breast cancer.

Two weeks ago I was diagnosed with non
small

cancer
. I have an appointment with md Anderson in 4 weeks which seems like eternity. I ended up at md Anderson emergency room due to some blood clots.

Ablation
Hi All, I am wondering if anyone has gone the ablation route with non
small
cell
lung
cancer
? I had cyberknife in my lower right lung back in 2011. It was effective with minimal side effects. In 2020, the cancer came back in my upper left lung. Now in 2024, it is back in my upper right lung.
