Hi! We’re beginning to research facilities for second opinions, next step guidance to supplement what we’re learning from our local doctor. My husband is BRCA2 positive, had a prostatectomy, salvage radiation and now his PSA is starting to creep back up. I know it’s too early to take additional treatment

Suggestions after Lutetium + Olaparib not working?
Hello community - hoping for some guidance post-Lutetium + Olaparib for my dad, which hasn't been working and has been extremely hard on his body (has needed blood transfusions practically every other week) and his markers are all going up. This is a rather long summary but grateful for any thoughts/

Neuroendocrine Prostate cancer (NEPC) questions.
I’ve had some very concerning symptoms lately so I started looking up more about NEPC. I have some of the listed symptoms. I’ve been under enormous stress lately, caring for my mom who’s in her 90s. The stress may have cause my cancer to mutate. Last year I remember reading something on this site

Making a Case for Intermittent ADT in Metastatic Hormone Sensitive Prostate Cancer
FPC'ers, Many times, we hear people claim that you should only stop ADT if you can't tolerate it any longer, and that it will not slow castrate resistance; that it increases risk for stroke, and heart attack; that it will likely take years for your testosterone to recover; that it increases mortality

In the UK Olaparib only seems to be available for those testing positive for BRCA. Is this a cost issue that it is not widely available?
Beej59• A few seconds ago•0 Replies My partner has advanced PC with tumours in ribs, spine and iliac. He has been stable on Zoladex for 8 years but this may now be changing. We insisted on a BRCA test which has come back negative but from what I understand Olaparib is only being made available

Mass on pancreas (cancer) - mets from PC or pancreatic cancer…?
My Dad (77) was diagnosed in the spring with stage 4 prostate cancer, Gleason 10 with mets to spine. He has since started hormone therapy and had radiation to his prostate. Recent scan showed a mass on the pancreas which came as a big surprise as the radiation had shrunk the mets on his spine and his

what tests should I get initially if I suspect there is a thyroid problem
Hi I’m new to all this but my grandmother and mother have a history with thyroid cancer but both was caught very late. My family wants me to get tested but my gp only wants to do a blood test. Is that enough? What do I look out for and what should I ask my doctor to test for? Should I go to a private

Cystoscopy post salvage radiation
It's been 2 years since I completed salvage IMRT to surgical bed and pelvic lymph nodes. My MO recommended I have cystoscopy after reporting 3 very small clots during 1 week in urine (about size of crumbled picecs of corn flake). I decided to have one as curious to see what looked like post salvage
