intake.

low sodium diet
hi all, reading the last few comments this is where my husband is basically at. He is on diuretics but not been told a low sodium diet but I understand it is needed. We don’t use a lot of salt but is there some kind of check sheet that anyone has been given? Wishing all a healthy future. Thanks in

Stayin Alive with liver disease, how do we do that?
I haven't written about diet in some time and things have improved a bit for some people, but we have the next crop of victims of these crummy liver diseases on board, so a little information from the real world might be of value. First, there is no cleanse, superfood, magic pill, talisman, or faith

Unusual taste in Nebulising Solution.
Please can anyone explain? I have used sodium chloride 3% nebulising solution for some years. However, a while ago I experienced a unusual taste of disinfectant in a number of a few packs. (These come as packs of 20 individual ampoules.)Has anyone else experienced an unusual taste in their sodium

High sodium alkaline phosphate - 139 (normal drinker)
Hi This post isn’t about me (a recovering alcoholic, sober 3.5yrs!) but my completely normal, low level of alcohol intake, partner! He had some bloods run as part of a routine check up for his age (46) and they’ve had him back in for full LFTs / scan next week as his ALP was 139.. When I say normal

CKD 2 at 27- question on proactive approach and other people's experiences
Hi there! This group has helped me a lot mentally and given me confidence. I've been wondering about if I'm doing enough for my health to manage this condition. My nephrologist says he isn't concerned about progression but I still want to stay on top of things. What else should I do? What tips does everyone

Another Seizure
Hi all, Has anyone ever had an issue with low sodium (salt)? I had another seizure on Tuesday whilst on holiday up in Scotland, during my lunch in a cafe. Since then I’ve been sick three times, had heavy fatigue and had no appetite only one sandwich and two eggs on a piece of toast. I’ve not had

Help, Can anybody interpret these results?
Can someone help me make sense of these test results? MC = Medichecks. NHS = GP Surgery, BH = Blue Horizon. What is screaming at me over these last 6 bloods is that they are all fasting, taken around 9.00am. The very last results were based on supplementation of B12 sublingual spray 300 mcg x1 day Thorpe

How I effectively cured my afib.
How I effectively cured my Afib. I know everyone’s story and situation is different, but this is my journey and how I effectively cured my afib. I use the term effectively because I’m pretty sure I would have an episode if I stopped taking my supplements, but I am 100% pharmaceutical free –

Advice on labs, high RT3, high SBHG, low T
This is my first real post on this forum. I'd appreciate if experienced members could take a look at my labs and history and let me know what they think. I'm a 46-year-old male from Canada but living in France for the past 10 years. I've had deteriorating health issues for close to 5 years (likely longer

citalopram
it’s been 6 months since I was taken into intensive care due to low sodium. As this was partly caused by citalopram, the hospital stopped it immediately. I am still struggling to be normal. I am horrible to my family, I have hateful thoughts, am very anxious. I cannot sleep, which makes me more tired

Advice on best blood test
Hi there, I'm looking to test Sodium, Potassium & Magnesium levels, as well as a full iron panel, Vit D, B12, Folate, thyroid hormones and sex hormones. I use Medichecks often for testing, but can't find a test that includes everything. I've found a Medichecks test that includes everything but SHBG
