Quick question, does anyone else experience sleep paralysis? I remember one occasion in my teens but it’s frequent now. I’m lucky in that I get it when I’m falling asleep rather than when waking up which I believe is way more terrifying!
It’s also not frightening, but I get stuck between sleep and wake and actually ‘dream’ I’m sleep walking. I’m actually not sleep walking tho, as I know I’m in bed and I know that I’m wake dreaming...I can feel my bed and feel myself trying to wake up whilst I’m ‘walking’ round my kitchen. I get stressed trying to wake up so I can go to sleep proper as staying stuck leaves me exhausted in the morning. Not sure if it’s a meds thing or an unrelated random thing.
It’s not a big deal, just interested to hear if anyone else experiences this?
Best wishes
Kerry

Yes , I get this occasionally when I'm waking up . I can't move , I'm trying to shout but I can't and like you , I know where I am and it's scary .
Apparently it's got something to do with the brain paralysing the body so it can't act out dreams - we're just waking up in the middle of that I think , from something I read ages ago . . . . . .
