THE BENEFITS OF TAURINE ON STRESS
I recently found some interesting info re: Taurine, an amino acid that can be missing in the brain or lower in people with neurological disorders with extreme anxiety or stress. I've been taking it at night and was just told I could take more of it without harm. Severe stress uses up Taurine in our

Reconstruction after mastectomy
I’m looking for some advice, for those of you that have had a mastectomy & reconstruction did you get good results? I may be heading down this path & wanted an idea of pros & cons following surgery?

Hawthorn Berry certainly helps me with the occasional missed beats!
Hi All Hope this helps. I was a competitive cyclist from age 14 to 45 (70 now) and able to ride at 25 av. Then from 45 onwards rode with my own ability group at a decent pace. Then, of course, slightly slower each year! So, rode at 20 av at age 60 and 17 av at age 67 for example The missed beats started

Diagnosis of Hughes no longer relevant
Hello everyone on this APS support group. A few months ago it was suggested to me that my clotting/bleeding problems, could be explained by Hughes syndrome/APS. I dutifully proceeded to research this topic and thus became absolutely convinced that my problems were caused by this drug. I obediently

In praise of Ibrance and Letrozole
My initial right-breast cancer appeared (grew very quickly to the size of a grapefruit) in 1992. I had 6 courses of chemo, very extensive mastectomy, 34 radiation, then 6 more chemo. I was clear of what all doctors said would be terminal. Had lots of physical therapy and crying. 24 years later, in 2016

Terrified of another MMC
I had a MMC in January and am now 6 weeks pregnant. I'm so scared of it happening again. It's all i can think about. I've got a scan on Thursday and I am so anxious. Not really had any symptoms either so I think that's making me worse. 😢

Treatment for invasive lobular breast cancer
I am on femara 2.5mg daily for 5 years as of now. No chemotherapy given as oncotype dx score was 9. Right mastectomy done. No radiation given as no lymph nodes were involved and margins after surgery were clear of tumour infiltration. Do I need any other treatment? What about immunotherapy n CDK4/6

Interesting book on breathing
Read this great book about breathing: James Nestor, 'Breath, the new science of a lost art'. The book reckons that if we breathe properly we could stop snoring, sleep apnoea, and ease asthma, amongst other things. It also talks about our history and how our face shapes have changed over the last three

To be on Ibrance or not?
To be on Ibranceor not? I moved from CA to PA and last Nov. had a pet scan and it was cancer free, clear. I was on Ibrance and letrozole for two years as my cancer came back in left lymph nodes again. I had estrogen type cancer in left breast in 2009 and had a double mastectomy and chemo. Then for 5

Actemra twist
Just saw my rheumatologist today. I’m having some trouble with the veins on my right arm during my monthly IV treatments of Actemra. I had a left side mastectomy so I can only use my right arm for blood pressures, injections, blood draws and IVs. Veins are not holding up too well after all that’s been

Medication advice
This is my first post here (34 F) My doctor diagnosed me with fibro a few months ago and I have a long history of anxiety/depression/IBS. I work 29 hours a week (pretty physical work, heavy lifting, standing all day) and I am really not coping. My body is so sore and stiff all the time. I have no energy

Normal Sperm Analysis - possible varicocele?
Hi everyone. I’ve done so much research the last few weeks and the OH and I have spoken to a few doctors. My OH has a normal sperm analysis so we assumed our issues laid with me and my egg quality. My results are all normal but obviously we can’t really test egg quality. So we’re unexplained. After

Help Staying Asleep!!
I have Parkinson’s and I’m 59. Had it for awhile I guess. I go to bed around 10:00 pm and wake up around 2:00 am. I lay alone on the sofa until morning. I want to sleep so desperately. Falling asleep is easy. Staying asleep is impossible. I’ve tried everything natural there is on the market. I take a
