Read this great book about breathing: James Nestor, 'Breath, the new science of a lost art'. The book reckons that if we breathe properly we could stop snoring, sleep apnoea, and ease asthma, amongst other things. It also talks about our history and how our face shapes have changed over the last three hundred years due to progress. The changing shapes do not aid breathing! I'm really focused on nose breathing now as was breathing too much through my mouth.
Wishing you all well

Hi Bernadette and Jack, its called 'Breath - the new science of a lost art' and is by James Nestor. I don't like buying things from Amazon as they don't treat their staff very well or pay the taxes they should pay so I bought it from Waterstones (link below) for £14.99 but you probably would be able to get it cheaper on Amazon.
Hi again, thinking about different responses I looked at other books that might provide specific exercises. One looks good but is focused on staying calm etc (quite relevant today I guess!) It's called 'Breathe Well' by Aimee Hartley. I am going to get it so will report back. There is also 'Exhale' by Richie Bostock which apparently can supercharge your health
I’ve got this book because a friend bought it for me. Very interesting and entertainingly written but a bit confusing as he talks about many different ways of breathing but isn’t clear about which way is best for which condition. The idea that that we need more co2 is novel but I’m unconvinced so far.
