Hi, it’s 8 years since I has HER2 grade 3 breast cancer and chemo and a mastectomy on my left side and on a Tuesday my breast consultant told me I have secondary breast cancer in my breast bone. It hasn’t spread anywhere else yet and I am due to have radiotherapy but my bone consultant is on holiday for two weeks so I haven’t a clue what to expect or my prognosis.
Has anyone experienced the same? X

Hi Curbs! Bone mets with Her2+ isn’t too bad...just completed year 4 in July...Been on Herceptin/Perjeta combo since then...If they go this route with u as I’m sure they probably will...There’s a new shot out called PHESGO...It combines both drugs in a a 5 minute shot. I’ve been doing about 3 hours in the infusion room every 3 weeks for 4 years. So I’m really excited about this. Hoping to start by Christmas...But if I was u I’d ask for it out of the gate and skip the whole port thing for now...😀 U can XGeva for the bone mets which is also a shot instead of the 20 minute IV for Zometa...
I was extensive 4 years ago...14 in bones and 2 right side and 1 left. Was told 12-24 months depending on how I respond. Flash forward 3 months ago...newbie in the infusion room says her doc told her 10-15 years with the same diagnosis. And that’s barring any new treatments coming up in the mean time...😀
