ADVICE ON CPAP MACHINE RESULTS
Hi Folks, During a recent staycation of 11 nights in hospital for atrial fibrillation, hypertension, shortness of breath on exertion and very swollen legs and feet, I underwent an overnight sleep study . The outcome that I had an AHI of 41 was somewhat surprising to a guy who's never had a problem sleeping

Will I develop AFib if I have sleep apnea?
Does being diagnosed with sleep apnea automatically mean I will have AFib? Super anxious here. I’m 19 and awaiting on a sleep apnea test in July. Don’t know how long I have it but do recall episodes of shallow breathing when I was younger.

New to Parkinson's
Was just diagnosed with early stages of PD. Dr prescribed Rasagiline 1mg to start off with, but the cost is terrible ($302.00). Have been looking into DopaBoost type products to save money and be more natural product, anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

wiped out after second pfizer jab
Ten days after my second pfizer jab i went dowhill rather quickly. Exhaustion, stiffness and pain in lower back, buttocks and groin. I have been getting flares regularly over the last year, this seems to be much worse. I've gone up to 21mgs deflazacort which doesn't seem to do much. I'm left pretty

Multaq aka Dronedarone, 400mg twice daily recommend by electrophysiologist (EP)
76 years old, on Metoprolol extended release (ER) 25 mg, Atorvastatin both once daily I was taking Metoprolol ER 100 mg once daily and feeling tired and lacking energy. I also have sleep apnea and epilepsy. My EP says Multaq is expensive but works well. I have also had a maze procedure. I am asymptomatic

No sleep in hospital
So my dad is currently weaning down with trach on and he’s breathing on his own today with some help of oxygen, so we’re doing good there. But he hasn’t slept in 48 hrs. I know he doesn’t sleep well at night anyway but not this bad. I know sleep schedule can get really messed up being in ICU and things

Silicone or saline implants?
I am 60+ and had a double mastectomy and will have reconstruction. Looking for insight between saline or silicone implants. Is one more comfortable in the body? Any problems with either? If you had to choose again, which one would you choose and why? Thank you in advance

Treating sleep apnea with CPAP therapy is associated with lower risk of heart problems
Findings from a recent study show that patients with untreated, moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea had a higher risk of experiencing a cardiovascular event, but the risk of incident heart problems was decreased in those who used CPAP therapy. Results show that people with moderate to severe

Nefopam for pred replacement ?
Hello all, After being on pred (7mg) for the past four years, my rhumi insists it can't be pmr as I'd have been cured by now :-( I realise from here that this is not always the case. He has prescribed nefopam to take whilst reducing preds. However, nefo is not agreeing with me at all, I struggle with

Don’t know what to expect
I was diagnosed with PSP and CBD in December 2020 . I haven’t had much support from the medical profession, and don’t know what to expect regarding end of life care. I started to have symptoms about 4-5 years ago and my condition is quite bad now, with sight problems, extreme tiredness, and frequent

PICC line tips?
Hi lovely people! I’m 5 weeks post mastectomy and sentinel node removal for DCIS and 2 invasive ductal cancer tumours; both hormone receptor positive, one HER2 positive and the other HER2 negative. I start chemo at the beginning of May. The surgeon said no radiotherapy but my oncologist has since said

Lupus and cancer
Oncologist was brilliant had done a lot of research into cancer with APS and Lupus. Opted for mastectomy to try and avoid having to have Chemo or Radiotherapy. He agreed it was better to avoid them if at all possible. Hopefully nothing shows up in Lymph nodes!

Does Adjacent Snoring and Noise Impact Sleep Study Test Results?
Hi Folks, During a recent stay in hospital, I was "wired up" for an overnight Sleep Study Test. On the night of the study, another more elderly patient, in the fully occupied 3-bed room and which I was only moved into that day, was snoring loudly like a horse and thrashing around in his bed for most
