Need my Singular
I have been on
Singulair
since 1998 & have lived like a normal person. I waited over 20 years for that. In April 2023, the drug was pulled from the market with no warning. I am now back to being miserable. I need to know if there is somewhere I can get
Singulair
back.

Seasonal Allergies Meds
I normally take Claritin and
Singulair
everyday. Since the Fibroscan I stopped taking them. I called doctor today and he prescribed Prednisone. He claimed that is generally safe on the liver. I’m not very trusting of their medical advice.

Montelukast generic Less effective?
I have been on
Singulair
(branded montelukast) but last week doctor issued generic Montelukast. Anyone here on generic montelukast and is it still effective? I have read somewhere the generic is not that effective as The branded one. Thank you for your replies! 😊

Something still not right…. Advice anyone? 🙏🏽
Very well controlled with Montelulast and
Singulair
200. Never use ventolin. BUT when I get a cold, cough, Covid it sets me in a downward spiral. This is where I am at the moment. Ventolin is used daily. Had a cold toward end of Nov which went to my chest.

How to deal with Montelukast / Singulair sleeping problems?
Just got put on
Singulair
yesterday and had loads of trouble sleeping. No real nightmares, but just in and out of sleep a lot. Didn’t feel well rested at all. Woke up today super groggy. Have you guys experienced a side effect with
Singulair
?

Allergy drug Montelukast (aka Singulair) reduced alpha synuclein load in mice genetically engineered to over produce alpha synuclein

Singulair
Started
Singulair
two weeks ago. Taking at night and noticed and immediate improvement in my breathing at rest. Waking up very anxious which lasts till 10am and then subsides. It’s not a bad enough case to cease immediately but if it will pass with time I’ll stick with it.

I was wondering….
I am currently on Dulera and
Singulair
. For rescue, I take Ventolin. The last appointment I had with my asthma team, the pulmonologist added Qvar to my Dulara.
Singulair
and Ventolin stayed the same.

Questioning the value of a follow up and a battery of tests
I’m doing ok, happy to have made progress recently with
Singulair
and an old favourite Becotide after a medication hiatus. I can run 5k and walk 5k every second day and don’t suffer with exacerbations.

Mattress for dust mite-induced asthma
The HEPA tent (together with pred,
singulair
, seretide and qvar) keeps me alive for now; I could not step outside the tent into the living room for 2 weeks, w/o wearing a respirator -- until the pred and the
singulair
kicked in.

Unusual symptoms -- could this be mast cell?
They've tried medications (antihistamines, quercetin,
Singulair
, etc) and that helps the allergy-related symptoms, but they don't affect the "adrenaline" related symptoms, and even makes the "adrenaline" worse. Is this typical of mast cell disorders?

Moderate Persistent Adult On-set Asthma and Excess Phlegm
I’m on Symbicort and
Singulair
now. Shortness of breath and productive cough have subsided greatly. I’m struggling now with excess phlegm. It builds slowly and I have to “huff” it up routinely. I can force myself to cough it up, but my body isn’t forcefully wanting to cough.

Insurance question....
They cover the cheaper drug (Ventolin) but refuse to cover Zenhale (Dulera), or
Singulair
. I am surprised they cover prednisone. I am frustrated because, normally, when I am not having a flare, just MAYBE my preventer is working? Maybe that is why I don’t use my rescue as often?
