I take it for asthma works well for me with no side effects. Hopefully works well for you too.

I think I also took it for asthma quite a while before being dxd with copd. I think it was stopped when it became clear that I needed an inhaler which included a steroid component. So normally as far as I know, it's prescribed for asthma rather than copd but others may have a different view.

I’ve got an ACOS diagnosis - Asthma/COPD overlap - and I take Montelukast (in the morning) and find it helpful. I actually feel when it kicks in. For now, it’s only got benefits for me 👍

hi, I was just curious as to why or who told u to take Montelukast in morning as my consultant told me just before bedtime for me. Bad dreams are a common side affect of this tablet people have messaged on this website and yes I’ve had a few of them, so how do we benefit by taking it in morning? Just curious, thanks Ken.

I only take it in the morning as I already take other meds at night. However, it may be of benefit as I don’t have nightmares which you’ve already seen can be a bad side effect for some. My Consultant didn’t see a problem in me taking it in the morning.

Singulair has been rumoured to be linked with the development of Vasculitis. I have Vasculitis and I have taken Singulair in the past. I wouldn’t wish Vasculitis on anyone. Please do your research on this drug.
