Just got put on Singulair yesterday and had loads of trouble sleeping. No real nightmares, but just in and out of sleep a lot. Didn’t feel well rested at all. Woke up today super groggy.
Have you guys experienced a side effect with Singulair? How have you dealt with it / does it go away over time for you?
Thank you!

As you've only just started it I'd see it as a coincidence after just one night - and then give it a few weeks if it continues. Meds usually take a few weeks to kick in properly and although side effects don't normally last the whole time they do need time to pass.
As it’s night one I wouldn’t stress too much. Over time most people find this sort of thing calms down. However if it remains a problem you could talk to your GP and discuss taking it in the morning instead of at night.
I try & take my Montelukast by 8pm. I've taken it for yonks and it certainly helps to keep me less wheezy, but I do have vivid dreams more often if I take it right before bedtime.
As Emma has suggested, you have the option of taking it in the morning but I would definitely discuss this with the doctor who prescribed it. If you find it's not an effective asthma treatment after 3 months then you can discuss its efficacy with your doctor and explore other options.
I know it says to take of a night but i have gone back to taking mine of a day and no more nightmare try taking it just before earlier around 6 or 7 it seems to help me .xxxx take care all
I agree with twinkly29 that you need to give it more than one night. New medicines seem to take a while to settle in. I didn't have that particular reaction, but everyone is different. If the sleep problem keeps up, I would talk to the doctor. There are other medicines available! Good luck.
