Add on drugs that are usually prescribed by GP; montelukast, LABAs, combination inhalers and steroids!
LEUKOTRIENE RECEPTOR ANTAGONISTS (LTRAs) - Montelukast/
Singulair
tablets Licensed for both adult and children, this is one of the most common add ons but equally one of the ones that causes the most concern for people. People on LTRAs often find they either really help or they do nothing š .

I have a question for those taking Singulair ( Montelukast Sodium)....
I have noticed that I get leg cramps during the night when I take this medication, and was wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them? I have had the leg cramps before, and stopped taking the medication for a while, and the leg cramps stopped. Then, when I started to take the medication again

I am new to Asthma
Am on Zenhale (Dulara), Ventolin, and
Singulair
. In the first month of diagnosis, I was seen by a pulmonologist, but he since moved away. He never gave me an action plan, so I figure I donāt need one? Anyway, I work at a local hospital in the ER and NICU departments.

Need help understanding living with asthma.
I was also wondering if you were just to take
Singulair
(pill) to control asthma, if that would be enough without having to inhale that steroid daily into your lungs to control asthma? I am quite frustrated with doctors in general.

NEW MEMBER. ASTHMA AND A LOT OF DOUBTS
My treatment was: Seretide 25/125 + ventolin on demand +
singulair
4mg. Cetirizine in the case of alergic. I started seretide in 2011. But my problem is that usually I have a lot of mucus from my chest. I don't have cough, but I use to cough in order to expell the mucus when having a shower.

Singulair helping acid reflux
I have been taking
singulair
now for a week and I have noticed my asthma is much better and so is my acid reflux. Because I had such bad post nasal drip and bad acid reflux, I think it caused the asthma.

My 3 yr. old baby girl coughs just at night?
I just thought it was a just a cold but today i took her to her doctor and he put her on
Singulair
, he said her lungs are clear, and nothing to worry about. Did he just say that cause he cant tell if she has asthma yet, or should i not really worry about it and let the meds do there thing.

Singulair - what would happen if I went crazy on it?
I feel like it would be a pity not to give
Singulair
a try again because I'm too scared!

Toxic Singulair
I started
Singulair
8 days ago and on the third day I started headaches, slow heart rate, fatigue, imsomnia, depression and horrible, vivid nightmares when I could finally sleep. I felt like I was walking in mud. Also I have big bruises on my arms and haven't seen anything like them ever.

Dx 4 yrs ago w/asthma, exacerbations last weeks
I still take my spiriva and
singulair
, but I have recently incorporated ivy leaf extract into my supplement regimen and have noticed significant benefits. My lungs feel dry--they haven't felt dry in a couple of years. I am running again and enjoying life of activity again.

Montelkast Singulair and reflux indigestion
Has anybody linked their reflux or any stomach issues with Montelukast? It's the only thing I've not tried cutting out but there seems to be reports of it causing stomach issues and reflux and it is listed as a possible side affect. I don't think it was the start of my reflux but it might be aggravating

New to sight, from US
I've been prescribed
singulair
(Montelukast), Symbicort 160/4.5 (2puffs 2xday), claritan, omeprazol (I have Gerds) I had 1st bout of asthma in 1999. Got a bad lung infection and was the first time I was diagnosed as asthmatic. I had no idea what it was.

Do I even have asthma
I suffer with pretty bad allergies and take a lot of medication to manage this, including the use of Montelukast (
Singulair
) to control the allergic wheeze (asthma). As my allergies stand, all seems to be ok and well managed for the first time in around 5 years.
