Refused inhaler by doctor as prescription not due yet
Twice my doctors surgery has refused me an inhaler as I wasn't due to get a new prescription yet. Although it was winter and had to use my inhalers more often (as recommended by the asthma nurse) due to several chest infections. My asthma is well controlled till I catch colds and flu in winter. Has

Acoustic Radiation Force Impulse Imaging
I saw a different consultant today. He was happy with my 17kg weight loss since 13th December. Some of this was enforced but more on that later. He didnt appear to be convinced totally that I have cirrhosis, which I am sure all those diagnosed would be ecstatic to hear. Yes my last fibroscan indicated

As many of you know, a primary 'mortality risk' with Asthma is 'fatal choking' resulting from Airway Sputum / Mucus. Not a particularly 'charming' way to Exit. (By the way, If you don't have time to read all of this - somewhat wordy - Post, please skip to my '2 Questions' near the end). Airway Sputum

Is it possible to have no trigger asthma?
I have been checked by the medical profession for a couple of years to see if they can find a trigger for my asthma and have not been able to? I got asthma though hayfever. I still suffer with hayfever but doesn't trigger an attack in anyway. I am on fostair and I have not had 1 attack in 3 years maybe

Cough variant asthma
Hi I have had a dry cough for a long time and have recently been diagnosed with cough variant asthma. I was wondering what inhalers/medicine people find most effective with this type of asthma?

Tips for running with asthma
Admittedly I thought I’d never get this far and beyond happy with what I’ve achieved. As an asthmatic from my 20s I was always rubbish at sport at school, never ran in my life and worried about being out of breath. I had pneumonia a couple of years ago and was told I had mild lung damage. After a lung

Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia?
I have only been diagnosed with
severe
asthma
, and although a lot has changed lung-wise since my chest CT in early 2016, it was decided that as that was clear, I didn’t need an updated one.

What inhalers do you have for your asthma?
Hi all, I'm just curious about what inhalers you all use for asthma and what type of asthma do you have? I currently have an undiagnosed breathing prob which is 24-7 and much worse on even light exertion but no tests I've had have conclusively provided a reason why. I'm looking to get asthma looked

Son has ace but is badly constipated
Hiya, my son had the ace fitted Sept 2018 and his micky button was fitted Jan 19. He is currently in bed with bad constipation, his washout on Thursday was just water and just water Friday. He is just passing overflow into his pull up and last night it was up his back and I had to change his bed sheet

Unsupportive family
I'm on max doses of Flutiform, have seebri and ventolin and I'm told
severe
/difficult to control
asthma
although I haven't as yet had my appt at the hospital. This is gp and asthma nurse opinion. My wife uses cheap Chinese air freshener liquids, and constantly puts bleach in bathroom.

New asthma doctor, severe persistent asthma, biologicals- blood test may not match
Hello and Happy New Year! So, I finally found a new asthma doctor and got in to see him. Sooo much better than the last asthma doc who was not listening to me, refused to help me when I was struggling (eventually making me go to urgent care to get prednisone- which cleared up the asthma flare), and wrongly

Cindy's Dance with Death
I was in a coma, due to peritonitis and sepsis 3x, for 35 days and on life support in ICU. My children were told to make funeral arrangements for me. I died and was revived twice. When they removed my ventilator, I regained consciousness. After a total hospital stay of 7 months and 4 surgeries
