Asthma flare feeling depressed
On Tuesday I was informed that I have a slight infection which had caused my asthma to misbehave itself. I have shiffted it but I am feeling depressed and feels like no one cares about me. I was on Doxycycline for my chest infection. My asthma is still not settled down. It's a lot better than it was.

My Daughter has Asthma
My 6 year old Daughter has been suffering from Asthma since she was 2 year old, an asthma attack is always brought on from having a cold or flu, she's currently poorly and today has been prescribed the usual steroid tablets and anti-biotics, she hasn't been admitted to hospital for a year but seems to

Beyond exhausted
I am the main carer i.e. the buck stops here, for my 90 yr old mum. I should say now that I love her dearly because what I am about to write might make you think otherwise. Since my dad died 11 years ago I have moved from support for my mum to main carer. In Jan 2018 she had a stroke and at the same

Treatment options for non-eosinophilic / non allergic asthma
Does anyone know what the treatment options would be for non-eosinophilic / non allergic asthma with no inflammation. I’m at a loss with it!

Navigating asthma
Hi everyone. I was diagnosed with full-blown asthma last year after more than a decade of fighting progressively worsening hayfever/allergy symptoms and two failed rounds of immunotherapy. The first combined preventative inhaler I tried gave me migraines. The second type prolonged tension headaches.

Ostomy to 5K - Day 1 Down!
I had two surgeries over the past year-and-a-half to give me a permanent ileostomy, which without a doubt has given me my life back - and now, after 10+ years of illness, I have to figure out what to actually do with that life! I have always hated running, mostly because when you have no stamina or muscles

Kicking those lung buddies in the butt
Those who frequent this forum will probably have seen my posts but cliff notes: I’ve been treated for
severe
asthma
for a while but doc thinks there’s something else adding to it as I’m atypical; things got worse again before Christmas and have been shaky since; had amoxicillin, co-amoxiclav, and doxycycline

Bowel endometriosis
Hello, I was diagnosed with endometriosis of the bowel at 24 and at age 25 I had my bowel shaved. I’m now 29 years old (not yet had children but do want them in a couple of years time) and after another laparoscopy, I have been told I require an anertiror resection of the upper bowel and that the endometriosis

Respiratory Illness and Vitamin D - New Article / Research
As many will know, although Asthma and COPD are different diseases, what helps with one will often help with the other. Also, a number of Asthmatics have Asthma / COPD overlap syndrome. The link I’ve included below leads to an Article that discusses Vitamin D in the context of COPD, but will likely also

Consultant appointment today
Yes I went to my appointment today. He is considering conditions that mimic asthma as I do not have family history of asthma only allergies and excema and hayfever. He said it does look like asthma but then he said infections can mimic asthma also. Now I am wondering! He also said about doing spirometry

Asthma plan
How are you meant to get an asthma plan if your gp's are refusing to give you one. I have requested one multiple times and I am still refused in getting one

Eosiniphilic asthma - long term risks?
I was diagnosed with eosiniphilic asthma in 2017 and started mepo in 2018. However it was never discussed whether or not there were any long term risks with the condition?

Consultant recommending straight to ivf
Just been to see my consultant who is recommending that once I am fully healed we go straight to ivf as it is too risky for us to try naturally. Needless to say I am all over the shop with my emotions. Just wondering if anyone else has been told this as well? Feeling alone at the moment. Husband is very

effect of nasal steroids on asthma
hello all, DS has allergic rhinitis and asthma and we have recently started a new steroid nasal spray (dymista), and have also tried Nasonex. it seems that these are making his asthma symptoms worse. His asthma used to be well controlled with low dose clenil modulate, but since on the spray he has started
