Admittedly I thought I’d never get this far and beyond happy with what I’ve achieved. As an asthmatic from my 20s I was always rubbish at sport at school, never ran in my life and worried about being out of breath. I had pneumonia a couple of years ago and was told I had mild lung damage.
After a lung rehab course and a spell at the gym, I decided on C25K and finished the course December and after an asthma exacerbation over Christmas and New Year, am getting back up to around 4.5k.
My breathing still doesn’t feel right, does anyone have any tips for the most efficient way to breathe when running, especially with asthma?

This is something I keep posting to people for various questions raised - where often the answer is - slow down! This is a vid from the Japanese slow jogging movement ‘nico nico’ (smile smile). You’re jogging at a pace where you can smile and chat - so this might be useful for you? It’s great at showing you how to run (there’s a book I’m thinking of getting but haven’t yet) and I am following this myself. I’ve only recently taken up running in my 50s and so have really wanted to avoid injury while getting fit, and this has really helped me. Hope it helps you too!
The book is £1.99 on the Kindle store at the moment. I posted about it the other day thinking it was a one day deal but just checked n it’s still on offer. The link to it is in one of the comments on my post, saves you hunting for it if you’re interested 😊
