Reflux
Good evening, does anyone think that reflux and heartburn makes asthma worse? I suggested this to my consultant but he disregarded this. I am progressively getting worse with asthma. Regards

Climate change/asthma
Anyone else feeling concerned about the news this morning that asthma sufferers might be increasing climate change by using certain inhalers? Bad enough to have asthma without it being presented as contributing to climate change, some people cannot take the inhalers suggested, it is not fair to present

Stuck in asthma limbo
I’m on the waiting list for the
severe
asthma
clinic at Barts hospital in London, my GP thinks I may be a candidate for biologicals but that’s probably still a long way off. So for now I’m pretty much stuck in limbo.

Skin care
I have had my stoma for 5 weeks now and it's settled down nicely. I'm changing my colostomy bag twice a day and am finding that the skin on my tummy where the adhesive flanges stick is becoming sore and red with some signs of a rash starting. Applying cream seems to affect the 'stickiness' of the bag

Stoma hasn’t worked for over 12 hours no pain
Hi, just wondering if anybody has had a stoma that hasn’t worked for more than 12 hours, no stomach pain or vomiting? My ileostomy has been very quiet and I’ve been drinking and eating normally, Thanks 😊

Coughing Asthma
Hi everyone, I have a coughing asthma, starting to be a bit breathless in the last few days. I have had the cough for years and had all the tests. I do not respond to inhaled steroids only oral and I don't want to live on them. Does anybody have any ideas about anything that might have worked for

Asthma
My normally very controlled asthma is not good at all. I have had a horrible virus and am struggling to get my asthma back under control. I have doubled my steroid inhaler and taking lots of ventolin. I will go to the gp tomorrow. Any advice for help in the meantime would be appreciated. Thank you in

Iv felt like this for a while now and recently it has got worse. Iv been given a brown preventor inhaler and

Day 2 - Post Surgery
Well that was an ordeal! You never know what your body has been through until you’ve heard from your appointed family member afterwards; oh and of course the pain but when you’re a bit delirious on pain relief that’s kind of unclear. 7 hours on the operating table and I’m still here; my poor mamo must

Glad I’ve found you all!
Having started the Couch to 5k 9 weeks ago, I’m really pleased to find this app! I’m now back on week 7, having been diagnosed with Asthma 2 weeks ago (I thought I was struggling!). Really enjoying it! So close to 9 weeks. Wish I had you lot when I was ready to give up. Asthma was the prognosis, and

Winter blues
I have had asthma for many years and at present, I am on Fostair and Ventolin. I get through the spring and summer ok, but This time of the year when the weather gets damp, my asthma is much worse. I get a terrible cough that goes on and on and my breathing becomes much worse. I am not sure what to do

Has anyone had hiatus Hernia repair operation to help asthma?
I have had asthma for 47 years and horrendous reflux for the last two with spasm in my voice box. I’ve to have an operation next month to repair my hiatus hernia and wondered if anyone could share how they recover after the op and if their asthma improved. I’ve read that reflux can be a big contributor

,

sinus polyposis, fatigue) and everyone was very helpful.

Reoccurring chest infections
With my
severe
asthma
still being all over the place and I get a wheeze and a cough daily the last thing I need is to keep getting chest infections. The past 6 months I’ve had 8 chest infections and 2 in just the past 3 weeks! Does anyone else keep getting reoccurring chest infections all the time?
