Hi I completed the C25K earlier in the year on the treadmill. I haven’t run in about 7 weeks as couldn’t get to the gym. I’m due to start the C25K again running outside but really concerned about how I will cope with my asthma.
Any advice on how best to be prepare?
What to wear etc?

Hello and great you've returned to c25k. You can try running outside and see how you cope with your asthma of you're struggling you could speak to your asthma nurse on what's best to do. As for what to wear the only thing that I've changed is I'm now running in a long sleeve top . I don't care about getting wet. If you're interested I bought a few of these
I cant advise on asthma but the usual rules hold - take normal meds, take inhaler with you if you have that type inhaler. Take the runs slow, if struggling with breathing stop, health more important than running outside. Temperature- I'm in north of Scotland still running in shorts and t-shirt at 8am and I'm usually a cold person, wear easily removable layers if concerned. If very cold when you go out try mid day run for asthma if possible. Good luck, take it easy, take care.
you might find that running improves your asthma a little bit, but as advised, make sure you take your medication (you might find running just after using your inhaler helps) and take a spare one with you always - it's no fun being far from home and having trouble breathing
Hi Sham19 ...well done for making the decision to start c25k again and running outside, well, you can't beat it. I have asthma too, I have a brown inhaler and a blue inhaler and as long as I remember to take it before I go I'm fine...yes, I have a bit of coughing, especially at the moment as I'm just getting over a cold, I am aware that my breathing is very different now compared to when I'm running in the warmer weather but I just turn my music up so I can't hear myself! Try it, see how you get on...sometimes, when you're expecting something to spoil a run it will so just try go out and concentrate on something else
