Questions about severe asthma
I'm still struggling and I'm worried that I now have
severe
permanent
asthma
. However, I read that when you have
severe
asthma
, it is supposed to show with spirometry. I've had several breathing tests done and they were all normal which led the doctors to believe that my
asthma
wasn't bad.

Side effects of Azithromycin
I have
severe
COPD and brittle
asthma
and for the past couple of years it has been suggested that I take Azithromycin during the winter months to avoid exacerbations. I've put off taking it but after so many hospital admissions have decided to give it a whirl.

I’m interested in learning more about it and how it affects
severe
asthma
in the short and long term. Thanks!

Asthma and Migraine Treatment
Prior to my recent asthma deterioration my GP prescribed Naproxen for my migraines. I explained that I’ve never had any problems with Ibuprofen so I was happy with that. Now after this recent nasty flare I am reluctant to take it as I don’t know if it will trigger an attack. For those of you out there

Does anyone have experience with the
severe
asthma
services at Barts and/or UCLH? I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on them if so, please.

Flouride/asthma/reflux?
Anybody know if there is any connection between flouridation of the water supply and increase in acid reflux and asthma symptoms? My symptoms increased after moving to another area from one where my water supply was flouride free.

Some good news for asthma and probably COPD too.
Most patients with
severe
asthma
rely on high dose inhaled or oral steroids to manage their symptoms.

Asthma UK nurses- brilliant job.
After feeling down and frustrated with my asthma, I called the Asthma UK helpline as I know they’ve been brilliant in the past and they were again. The nurse took time to go through everything with me and explore different options and medications that might help. Honestly this service is great each

Has anyone else got asthma, bronchiectasis and bilateral pulmonary embolisms? What's being done about it? How do you manage?

Allergic diseases increase the risk of adult-onset asthma.
A Finnish study found that the more allergic diseases an individual has, the higher the asthma risk. The number of allergic diseases increases the risk of adult-onset asthma especially in individuals born after 1940, according to a study published in the Allergy journal. Approximately one in ten Finns

Stoma
Hi there everyone. I’m having my op tomorrow for my first recurrence of OC. There is a possibility of me having a stoma, hopefully temporary. Have any of you had this? What can I expect? I’m so scared but trying to be ultra positive to family and friends.
