Updated Asthma UK shielding advice
Apologies if anyone else has mentioned this already. My inhaler and dosage level were in the Asthma UK table on their Covid-19 advice page, which suggested I should be shielding(I didn't get a letter and wasn't expecting to get one). As of today that table and all mention of collaboration with the NHS

Severe Asthma and Pregnancy
Hi I am nearly at the end of my first trimester for having my first baby which I am over the moon about! I haven’t posted in ages but since last time I have started on xolair injections and more new medication, but have had no hospital admissions and a massive reduce in attacks and symptoms - it’s so

Peak flow
Hi my peak flow is currently around 300. I have never been very good at assessing the servitude of my asthma and hardly notice when I am breathless of wheezing as I have had asthma for so long. I am now a 48 year old(female) and am trying to take better care of my asthma. I have noticed I am sometimes

Euphyllin/Theophyllin
I used to have
severe
Asthma
attacks (cardiac arrest). I Germany I received injections containing Euphyllin which helped quickly and saved me very often from suffocating. Is in the UK a similar product available?

My thoughts on NHS letters, The List and shielding
So encompasses more people than those with
severe
asthma
. So being on that list doesn't necessarily mean your
asthma
is
severe
- but you are at risk of severe complications of you have coronavirus. 5.

Stress and asthma?
Hi, is asthma and stress linked in any way? I mean can being stressed make your asthma worse or is it completely separate? As earlier this evening obviously with things they are (husband going through some extreme stressful work times and macho mum (or dad for those of you also reading!) taking husband

Asthma attack
I am on fostair nexthaler 100/6 since Feb on the smart regimen one puff twice a day. Have not used it as a reliever yet but instructions can be used up to 8 puffs a day. Mild asthma well controlled at the moment. Have not got an asthma plan. During an asthma attack when do I get help as it is difficult

I am new to Asthma
New to these boards too. I was diagnosed four years ago. Am on Zenhale (Dulara), Ventolin, and Singulair. In the first month of diagnosis, I was seen by a pulmonologist, but he since moved away. He never gave me an action plan, so I figure I don’t need one? Anyway, I work at a local hospital in the ER

Understanding Asthma UK advice about distinguishing between different symptoms
Hello, I hope people are doing ok. I am confused by some of the asthma UK videos. In one they say take your peak flow so you can tell if it's asthma or covid, and they have sent through the table of differing symptoms (cold/flu/asthma/covid etx). However I thought the whole point is that these things

Asthma and running -tips?
W1R1, kept going with only one moment where body made me stop and take my inhaler (took it slower after that) I'm thinking of doing week 1 twice to make sure my asthma can cope before I start upping running time. Has anyone with asthma done this or have other tips? Not letting the blasted chronic illness

Vulnerable Health workers
So I'm a front line health worker with
asthma
. No shielding letter and not
severe
. I've had
asthma
for 30 years. In the last 6 years my asthma has worsened and I've needed steroids around twice a year for chest infections.

Struggling with asthma at night time
Does everyone struggle with the feeling of going to bed when struggling with asthma. I feel that I can do something about in the day time but the is nothing more scary than being woken up with asthma

Where to go in an emergency?
I have
severe
asthma
and I already know I'm not one of the ones they will help if I get the virus once they get overwhelmed. I can cope with that but not if I get an attack that is treatable but they are too busy, or if I'm exposing myself to the virus. I started self isolating a week ago.
