Increased Phlegm from exercise?
I was diagnosed 18 months ago with mild COPD, which has been kept under control with Seretide 250. I haven’t been to pulmonary rehab due to it being cancelled because of Covid. Five days ago I started doing some COPD chest exercises, not because I desperately needed it, but because I just felt I ought

Seretide Vs Aloflute
Hello! I’ve been taking seretide and ventolin inhalers as normal for the past 20 years, but the last time I went to pick up my preventer prescription it was Aloflute/generic. I’ve been taking this daily (as normal) for the last month or so and an finding the puff to be really ineffective, not as strong

Covid and o2 sats
Tested positive for covid. Not been too good but I think I might be over the worst. We shall see. Cant get my oxygen sat levels above 92 but dont feel wheezy. But chest is heavy. Peak flow well down too, usually 400 now 284 or there about. Should I be talking to dr again. On oral steroids for one more

Skin allergies
Hello there to everyone. First want to thank everyone who replied to me on my previous post. I consulted a doctor as advised and I have gotten much better. I'm now on montelukast and given another inhaler. (still Seretide because of tachycardia that doesn't flow well with salbutamol) The problem now

How long for seretide 250 to take full effect?
Hi I've recently been diagnosed with Gerd and ashtma after a viral. I've been on the seretide 250 for two weeks using it with an aero chamber. I was previously on fostair 100 but was taking it the maximum amount each day so my doctor tried me on this. I'm also taking montekulast which helps I think but

Help and advice needed for son
My son is nearly 11 and I’m writing to see if anyone might have had similar issues to him and for advice. Both my husband and I are really concerned about him. My son was hospitalised twice aged 5 with classic asthma symptoms (wheezing, unable to breathe) and has taken a preventer inhaler since. Now,

Synbicort / spiriva: insomnia and tachycardia
Hi all, Following my latest hospitalisation, I’ve had a full drug overview. To get rid of the stupidly high dose of seretide I was one, the respo nurses moved me over onto seretide (2x 2 puffs, an and pm) plus spiriva respinat (2 puffs, am), plus retaining my montelukast. The eventual goal is to drop

Bad exacerbation - when to return to work?
I know this is the million dollar question, but here we go. I'm one of those 'atypical' asthmatics in that I don't wheeze. My main symptoms are breathlessness and cough - and increased heart rate as I deal with the others. Until this flare I was 'managing' on seretide 250/25 x6 puffs (more of this later

How can you tell the difference between asthma and a chest infection?
Following on from the posts about antibiotics. I have looked at the useful information re: asthma and chest infections on the site and am still not sure where I am with it. I had an asthma flare up last week following a good spell and a decrease of Seretide 250 dosage to 1 puff 2 x per day alongside

Can Seretide make coughing worse
I’ve found that if I forget to take my Seretide at night I don’t cough. Otherwise I’m up several times a night coughing and sometimes need to take my reliever

Overfilled Chest
I’m newly on my Seretide and have a symptom I’m a bit concerned about. Not caused by the Seretide but I’m hoping it clears it up. Does anyone here feel like their airways are too full? For me a symptom I’ve have is the feeling like there’s air stuck in the system and when I’m breathe in I’m trying to

Blocked from return to work w/ controlled asthma?
Hi, I know many people are worried about returning to work during the current situation because they are asthmatic, but I seem to have the opposite issue - my work medical unit blocked my return because I'm asthmatic, but my asthma is totally controlled and I take one inhalation of seretide accuhaler

Burning sensation in lungs and throat when exercising following asthma diagnosis. Any suggestions please?
I was diagnosed as asthmatic roughly one year ago, prior to which I was exercising 5 days a week. Following numerous medicine combinations, I finally got my asthma under control with Seretide 250 and Montelukast. I am now able to exercise regularly, however I have had a burning sensation almost every
