Nebulised Steroids
Does anybody use nebulised steroids? I have just been told that this is my next probable treatment option and wondered if there were any side effects etc. Would this be instead of Seretide or as well as? Any info greatly received! Sarah

Just grumbly asthma?
Hi there. I had a chest infection that seemed to clear with anti-b's about a month ago, but ever since I've not been feeling tip-top. It's like I have hayfever and a cough. This is the first winter I've had since my diagnosis and although Ive always caught colds and flu I've never felt this bad for

Seretide/Symbicort
Could anybody tell me whether Seretide is a stronger inhaler than Symbicort? Or is it that they are just completely different medications. I have had a higher peak flow with Seretide but have recently been put on Symbicort because of the shakiness I had from Seretide. My peak flow won't go over 400

8 week long asthma problem
I know there are a lot of people worse off than me but am starting to get very paranoid. In 6 weeks, I've had 2 courses of prednisolone (7 and 5 days @ 40mg). Just finished the last today, and given anti-biotics, as have had a cold and am wheezing a bit. The GP couldn't hear any infection though. Am

Reversibility testing
My GP has booked me in for a reversibility test in a couple of weeks, I got a letter telling me not to use my salbutamol within 4 hour of the test, does this mean I need to miss my seretide too? Does the test mean that she is now doubting the diagnosis or is it a normal part of a review? I'm not entirely

Preventer Dilemma!
Hi all. I've had inhalers for asthma since I was 12 (now 34) and have now progessed to home nebulisers. I was initially on beclamethasone (brown) preventer 250, twice a day, a few years ago whilst in hospital I was changed to symbicort (red/white), and a couple years later seretide (purple)250. I am

Seretide to Symbicort
Hi I got diagnosed with Asthma last October so am all pretty new to this. My asthma is still not controlled and we are still finding out which medication is the best for me. I just wondered if anybody had developed a worse cough, especially in the morning, when switching from seretide 250 to symbicort

Xray for breathing problems, should I take steroids?
I have had asthma since I was a child and am now 50. For four years I had no symptoms whatsoever and then quite suddenly last September my asthma kicked off again. It has been controlled some of the time by seretide and ventolin but in December I had to have a five day course of steroids which helped
