Inhaler and taste
Hello, I’m currently taking Seretide 50 Evohaler, always with an aero chamber. Despite this, I find a lot of the medicine ends up on my mouth, especially my tongue, and that i end up losing a lot of my taste. Has anyone else had this? I make sure I gargle with water and brush my teeth after taking,

seretide diskus
After months of self denial I finally accepted my situation and doctor started me on seretide diskus. AM and PM. I also have hyperparathyroidism which is already causing me fatigue and anxiety. Any positive comments on this inhaler? I am reading inhalers make people prone to pneumonia and getting scared

Hello there, I am Sunshine, 22 years old and this is my first post on the forum. I have had asthma in my genes and from childhood. But recently with recurrent respiratory infections and occasional blood in sputum brought me to the doctor. He ordered me an Xray which showed Bronchiectasis. To confirm

Switched from Seretide 250 to Fostair 100/6
Morning all, I had been taking Seretide 250 for sometime and it has been, I believe, controlling my asthma well. I have Ventalin as a reliever which I use as and when needed. Had a bad cough develop in early May which I didn’t think was related to my asthma but did caused major sleep issues. Drs checked

Switching Seretide to Fostair
Hi all, I have been taking Seretide twice a day, three puffs in total for many years; it’s always worked well, and only very occasionally have I reached for a Ventolin reliever. During an asthma review I was asked to try Fostair, and the first couple of weeks taking the same dose was fine. Now I’ve

I've just been prescribed a new inhaler called Fostair (Fostair 100micrograms/dose / 6micrograms/dose inhaler (Chiesi Ltd), ASTHMA: (beclometasone dipropionate / formoterol fumarate). I previously used Seretide (and salamol reliever) in the past I've never had a combination inhaler before, just wondering

Has anyone had stomach pain since being on Foster Nexthaler?
I'm having really bad stomach pain at night. My GP seems to think it an ulcer but 2 rounds of Lanzoprazole then Omeprazole have not helped. It's getting so I'm scared to eat and sleep. While I was up in the middle of the night last night, I suddenly thought that the onset of my stomach issues has coincided

Seretide after bad Fostair experience
Hi After having to use my blue inhaler alongside my Clenil each night for a long time due to wheezing I was put on Fostair. Unfortunately I had bad side effects including heart palpitations, chest twinges, oral thrush and a bad episode where I was short of breath with sore lungs. I’ve been given Seretide

Change in inhalers
I'm currently on sertide and being switched over to symbicort. I'm not sure of the dosage etc as need to discuss further with gp. I'm a little concerned as been on seretide for years. When I get switched it triggers flares and I've already had loads of time of work. I work part time. I also think I'm

4 emergency hospital trips since February
I've had asthma since I was 6. Was seen at Great Ormond Street and also the Royal Brompton when I nearly died when I was 18. Recently, it really flared up after a nasty respiratory virus that started about the 15th December. Had a steriods and antibiotics. Things didn't improve. January I had a call

Problems with alternative inhaler to Seretide
I have been on the Seretide inhaler for 3 years , it was fine. However now I Am told that the replacement from the pharmacy ,which does not seem to have the same effect for me ,is the same , it clearly isn't ,I have changed my technique of inhalation and it makes no difference. I studied the leaflet

Trimbow / Fostair
Can anyone confirm my understanding please? I can't take fostair, it gave me awful palpitations, tremors and excess mucus to the point I felt like I was drowning when I lay down so it was quickly stopped. I saw a respiratory consultant recently and as most other inhalers have already been tried he suggested

Seretide evohaler intermittent misfire
Hello there, I wonder if anyone else has come across this? I previously suspected that my seretide inhaler sometimes did not discharge correctly when it felt and sounded differently in my mouth. I recently started using a spacer and was able to observe this. I estimate it happens a few times with each

Biologics
Hi - following on from my previous posts, has anyone been rejected for biologics due to their inhaled steroid dose being high? I have Seretide 250mcg x2 puffs twice daily and pulmicort nebs 2mg twice daily. They’re saying the high doses of inhaled steroids are the cause of my infections, but I’m colonised
