Seretide to Fostair?
Hello! I'm after picking some brains again, please! At my last catch-up with the asthma nurse at my GP practice, I explained that I've been coughing in the mornings and using my salamol reliever more than usual. Her suggestion was either Montelukast or changing inhalers. I really didn't get on with Montelukast

Going back to seretide?
I’ve just been asked in for my annual review and want to ask the nurse if I can go back to seretide. I came off it a few years ago when there was some research about increased risk of pneumonia as I have mild bronchiectasis. I’ve tried quite a few alternatives and have been on flutiform for a couple

Fostair: virtues & vices
Hello everyone! I'm a lifelong asthmatic and for most of this time I've been on Seretide 125. However, three years ago I started to devlop a chronic producitve cough (CPC). This persisted until I switched to Fostair 200/6. Thankfully the CPC has stayed away, however I'm having issues with the Fostair

Doctor saying it isn't asthma, but I'm not really following what he says
Does anyone have any experience with their doctor saying its not asthma, when pushed he said might be a mucus plug, but said this was caused by inflammation which is what I thought asthma was? Had a few exacerbations lately and it's horrible to feel so out of control. Back on prednisone and amoxicillin

Seretide
I have been using seretide 250 for a month now. I got a rash on my face. Is it possible because of seretide?

Running with asthma
I have asthma and mild bronchiectasis. I run around once/twice a week- around 3-5k so not very much. I’ve been on Fostair for a couple of years but don’t seem to be getting any benefit from it and still feel like I need my ventolin before exercise. Has anyone swapped to seretide and seen an improvement

Obstructive asthma or Asthma - COPD overlap - confused
Hi I have posted on here about my overuse of Salbutamol and my GP practice asthma nurse wanting to stop it! Big red flag and a lot of stress for me. Anyway long story short agreed to further investigations and tests. Peak flow best is 250 - 200 I feel ok on this with help of salbutamol in the day.

Steroids and aspergillosis ?
Hi, my question is as follows. Can seretide or any corticosteroids inhaled or taken orally encourage the growth of aspergillus in the lungs . I have a poor immune system and know that steroids can further weaken our defences. I take itraconazol long term for the aspergillosis and have a bad flare

wanting to stop using Seretide
Hello, I'm new to this forum so please forgive any stupidity on my part. I developed Asthma aged 50 due to suddenly becoming allergic to cats, at the time I had 2 Siamese that were basically my family, I just thought God has a really twisted sense of humor! So my beloved cats are now long gone but my

Seretide and inflammation/carpal tunnel/stuffy nose
Hello, I was switched to seretide from clenil a couple of weeks ago and I’ve noticed that I’ve got a stuffy nose (feels like the airways are narrow) and my carpal tunnel has flared up (not had it since I was pregnant). I just wondered if others had had this side effect please? Feels like it has made

Uncontrolled Asthma, repeated asthma attacks every day. Do I have bronchiectasis?
I am 52, slim, fit, healthy and quite fit with a balanced healthy diet no milk but plenty of bio yoghurt. I supplement with vit c, vit D and probiotics daily. I have had asthma since 4yo, productive chesty cough for twenty five years, chest infections two to six times a year swiftly cleared by Amoxicillin

How can this be allowed?
Yet again I have had my salbutamol stopped without warning! I have half an inhaler which is supposed to last until mid March. There is no way it will last until then! I have had this stress from my surgery stopping my medication before. Making me have to present my case why this is dangerous for me

Lung restriction and mucus blocking airways
I’m a 42 year old man. I’ve always had mild asthma since I was a teenager, but had got worse now at 42. I’ve smoked cigarettes a bit in the past and smoked cannabis which hadn’t helped my breathing capacity but I’ve been fairly fit at different stages in my life Where I would jog regularly and use gym
