Seretide inhaler
I have been on Seretide 250 for many years now and use it every day. I find that if I am having a bit of trouble with my breathing, I take 2 puffs and remember to count to 10 on each inhale. I only need to double up for about 3 days, thing go back to my 1 a day. Keep trying the Seretide and remember

Seretide 250
I use my Seretide inhaler twice a day and just carry a bricanyl inhaler as an emergency one while I am out. This works well for me and has done for the past 10+ yrs. I find the powder one which does not blast the medicine into the back of your throat is a big advantage. If I am ill and strugling with

Fostair makes me cough
Hi, I was prescribed Fostair a few months ago, never having had a combination inhaler before. It was fine for a while but then I started coughing all day long. I read that this might be a side effect of Fostair so I stopped taking it and now the coughing isn’t so bad. However, there was a period of cold

Just tested positive for Covid. Feel shocking!
Hi all, I’m a generally well controlled asthmatic on seretide 250 & salbutamol. I had a bad headache come on at work yesterday (nurse) so tested when I got home which was negative but I didn’t feel right at all. Slept awful, did another test this morning and deep purple line came up straightaway.

Blood blisters
Hi. I am experiencing oral blood blisters. They are painful, as they leave an ulcer. I am convinced this is due to inhaler use . I have had asthma since childhood. I currently take seretide, I have tried changing inhalers, however this didn't solve the problem. I think long term steroids are the

Relvar step down
Hi all. I was wondering if anyone has experience of stepping down from lower dose Relvar (92/22) and am interested in what they were prescribed as an alternative please? This is complicated by the fact that my daughter ( who I’m writing on behalf) is 17 yrs old so can’t have certain meds until she’s

Lung function tests: help interpreting what it means
I don't really know what my tests mean, apart from being pretty good overall. This was on Seretide (ICS + LABA) , at a dose that totally suppressed my ACTH and adrenals, but it has been a wonderful medicine for my asthma. I have been reducing the dose a lot since the lung test. FEV1 - 114% FEV1/

Tapering off inhaled steroids due to steroid induced adrenal insufficiency
Tapering off inhaled steroids Seretide has completely suppressed my adrenals. I mean completely. It's been going on for years, but doctors don't 'see' it. An endo saw my low cortisol years ago but didn't act. Now it's gone... ccan my adrenals ever come back? Hospital can't predict. Hospital want me

Switch from Seretide to Fostair 100/6
Have other people had problems when switching from Seretide (which was very successful for me) to Fostair 100/6. I am finding it less effective and peak flow has fallen by about 20%

Trimbow with emphysema, bronchiectasis and aspergillus causing problems
Last summer my inhalers we’re changed from spiriva and seretide to Trimbow. After an initial period of improvement my breathing got worse but not enough to ring alarm bells. About six weeks ago I suddenly became so breathless that moving from one room to another left me gasping for breath on the point

Tapering off prednisone while on Xolair
Hi all -- I've been on prednisone 10 mg daily for a year, and I've been on Xolair for 5 months. My consultant suggests that I start tapering the pred off by alternating 5 and 10 mg daily. I wonder what I may face if the taper does not go smoothly -- return of asthma symptoms? Any shared experiences would

do inhalers cause pain in your sternum?
Im wondering if any of you have experienced a discomfort in your sternum when breathing deeply? Weird question I know. In September I had covid and thankfully only had very mild symptoms. Two weeks later I had a chest infection and ended up on antibiotics and steroids. Since then I have had to change
